If Garret takes the job, in 28 games he will be interim HC..

First of all he is being interviewed as OC. The Cowboys problems were on defense this year.
As I said...Dallas had the #1 ranked offense in the league this year....not sure how "stale" that makes it.
And again...the skills to be a HC are different than those of an OC.
I wish our offense was that "Stale" Having Garrett also allows us to steal Cowboys FA's....Especially on offense. No Why do we want to pay Cooper 95 million when we can probably get a guy close to his ceiling on day 2 or 3 on a rookie deal?

I think Garrett's systems are stale. He has had stacked rosters on both sides of the ball and failed to put the stem on the apple. With that said. He does bring some tangibles; HC experience , As Morehead said , Helped bring a 3rd round Qb to an NFL level. Knows how to set up blocking schemas All things this team needs. I've begun to question how "stacked" those rosters have been. I understand they have had talent. But I just wonder how much of it is them truly being that talented and how much of it is Jerry Jones being the worlds greatest salesmen and talking up his product. Remember ESPN has actual reporters working for the Cowboys and Jerruh definitely controls the narrative on that network..

It would totally blow up the narrative that Judge likes coaches with nimble minds who know how to take max advantage of what skills a player has rather than forcing them into a system. Garrett had the best (or one of them) OL in football for 4 years, a quality QB, a top 5 running back, a legendary TE and an outstanding wide receiver in Amari Cooper the past two years. ….. and he still couldn't deliver a consistent offense. It was either in how he utilized talent, prepared for opponents or adjusted mid game, or all of the above. Either way, this would be a really bad choice that deviates from the "new direction" theme we have been fed. Well he took a 4th round QB and made an excellent QB out of him.
And weren't they the #1 ranked offense in the NFL this year?
Thank you for making my point. All of that and STILL nothing to show for it. He is not our guy. If we are going to be fresh, let it be newborn fresh. We have failed over and over with "traditional wisdom" picks. If Judge is to lead us in a new direction, let it be real and complete.

Well obviously he must left without a deal. Would of heard something.
Ahh. I just saw that Kitchens has an interview on Friday. Thats why no announcement either way on Garrett.
So they will meet with Kitchens. They decide between Shula, Garrett or Kitchens
Id assume there will be some sort of decision by Saturday

Running back, Recievers, O-line, pass rushers Linebackers, DTs,and the TE . The QB does not turn the ball over a lot. They weren't stacked? We won with less in 07 and 11 . Just their Offense alone should have been able to keep their Defense off the field and controlled the tempo of the game. It didn't.

I certainly hope we have interviewed other below the radar candidates. Not especially thrilled by any of these 3.

Have to credit Judge for being thorough.
Where did you read that Kitchens was going to be interviewed Friday? Haven't seen that anywhere.

No need to question it because they have been over hyped and were never as good as what people thought they were.. Being able to play 4 games a year against the Giants and Redskins gave them a few extra victories and padded their stats so that also is a factor. I'm hoping they sign Dak to a big contract while his win loss record is impressive I think it's fools gold.

Other than a delay in starting to get to real work, I guess the pressure is off on rushing to sign an OC. I know there has been a few firings of coordinators but there can't be many Pro jobs left. Kitchens certainly isn't going to Cleveland, Garrett would probably prefer the NE, and Shula probably won't get an OC job anywhere. At this point I'm going to say the owners wanted him to talk to Garrett, now tomorrow he gets his comfort guy to come in. I don't know how I feel about a Kitchens hiring, he sure looked a mess in Cleveland. Kid of "Rex-- like" wearing that adolescent shirt.

Please NO Kitchens-bad image as a fat unshaven loser. I do think ownership enjoyed the image Shurmur portrayed--until he looked constipated at critical times of games. I agree, the owners would rather see prim and proper Garrett on the sidelines but if they truly let Judge decide then it could be Kitchens.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling that the OC will not be Garrett ... that it will be Shula.
Not sure if our new young HC wants to have such a high profile OC, who he really doesn't even know. I'm thinking that he did the interview to be thorough and out of respect for Mara, who likes Garrett.

We better not go Kictchens. Not because of his coaching but because the guy is a putz. "Pittsburgh started it".

Your probably right but those that are on board with Judge and "all in" with this guy then whoever he picks we must assume its right for his vision. It would be very hard for me to see Garrett in big blue.

Doesn't feel like there's a lot of instances where an incoming head coach with no connections to a position as big as a coordinator keeps an existing coordinator. I'd be absolutely shocked if Mike Shula ended up our OC.

I will admit that the thought crossed my mind that even mild mannered Garrett could be a bit too much for Judge to accept right away.

I'd be absolutely shocked if Mike Shula ended up our OC. I think that it will depend on how much Judge thinks that Shula had a role in Jones' development.
I have to admit, I don't have a good handle on the role, if any, played by Shula in Jones' development
