Yeah He knows how to use a good running back..Loves aggressive downfield passing to open up the run Tight ends are productive... No he doesn't. Go back and re-watch the our 2007 playoff game against them. Marion Barber had 100 yards in the first half but when we went ahead in the 3rd quarter Garrett went away from the game plan and just passed. The Cowboys running game took off after Garrett was relieved of the play calling duties. 2007?, One would hope in 13 years he learned a thing or two

fbomb " the fan base will riot if he comes here " Wait for it..................... They will magically rationalize it or change to thinking its a good move. That is the power of homerism.

For real this time? No false start? Well, I dont like it, but I dont hate it for some reason. This has Mara all over it though. Oh my god. Everyone needs to stop this. Mara literally said it's Joe's decision. We are bringing a version of the Saints offense to our stadium. The textbook defitition of multiple. This is great news. I can see the rest of the guys, but Garrett is the one that doesnt look like the others. Garret is what the Giants do. Giants connection, experience. All of the other coach choices are NE Pats or not much if any experience. Just smells like a Mara move. If I'm wrong I'm wrong.

Giants head coaches have always hired their staffs. Jason Garrett was a successful OC and a decent head coach. He runs a good system and he's got HC experience for our room head coach. Nothing about this is negative. Patrick Graham coached dline here for 2 years. That's more of a Giants coach connection than Jason Garrett who was a 3rd string QB for us.

Well, I dont like it, but I dont hate it for some reason. This is a good way to some it up.
The Positives- Had success with young QBs (later round ones at that, not a top 6 stud like Jones). Likes the vertical passing game which should work well with Slayton and Jones. Likes to use RBs in the passing game, great with Barkley. Knows how to use TEs...finally.
The Negatives- He is Jason Garret and I spent the last 12 years not liking him and we need a power washer to get the Jerry Jones smell off him.

Say it ain't so Joe I'm not going to sit here for the next 8 years with Cowboys fans running up our noses about how shitty the Giants are with their former coach Garrett at the helm. If Mara hires him I might well be done with this team.

This is a good hire. The first hire Judge has made that caught my attention. The former Alabama and Patriots were enough for me. Why is it a good hire? He brings experience, 20 years total and 12 years with the Cowboys as a head coach and OC. Princeton graduate, he’s a smart guy. It’s good to have guys who can learn quick and are smart. Former player, he can relate to players being he was one, and he understands what makes them tick. Understands pressure, coached in Dallas, one of the toughest jobs in all of the NFL. Has coached in the NFC East, so he knows this division very well.
Lots of good things to like about this hire. Instead of nitpicking of what he did in Dallas, look at what he brings to the table. Experience, class, and an understanding of how to coach in this league.

He was 42 and besides 1 year at Air Force had spent basically his entire coaching career as a LBs coach. That turned out well. Actually Parcells chose an older OC with HC experience too.
I just want to win the Super Bowl now to post pics of Garrett holding our trophy lol. Got some Cowboy fans at work.

There's a difference between liking him as a head coach and liking him as an offensive coordinator. There is no backtracking necessary. HC absolutely not, OC all for it.
