We let the ****ing Browns hire Callahan so we could hire a bully who was fired and hated everywhere, just because Judge knows him..... SMFH!!! What do you mean we let them hire Callahan? This isn't slavery, people get to make their own decisions.

you know what, I don't recall who the OL coach was on any of the teams that won a SB... or on any of the crappy teams for that matter, except I'm aware of it now because everybody on here just seems to know that Hal Hunter sucks...
me, I have no idea what constitutes a good OL coach or not and how much the overall performance, good or bad, can properly be laid at the feet of any particular coach. I'm guessing it's a lot more than just saying this or that guy "regressed" or looking at statistical rankings of a given unit... I don't G*ddamn know... so I'm not going to say someone other than Bill Callahan is a worse choice or not. Or Callahan was a good choice to begin with
guess I'll be happy if the guy's name is "not Hal Hunter" just because everybody on here can't possibly be wrong...

Wow Ok.... whats plan B? IS there a plan B? And dont tell me plan B is plan A all along. And dont tell me its Hal. Dave Degluinmo (something like that) is the guy we are interviewing. I don't think these guys have "plan A, plan B" ect. I think they are interviewing guys and seeing who jumps out at them. It's like the draft, you have to go into it with an open mind.
I still have not heard anything about Harry Hiestand, I'd love him.

Not many fans of Hal Hunter. I understand why, his resume belongs on a dart board. Or for you drinkers out there under your drink, never know when you need a coaster.

Maybe research him on your own and find the quotes. www.miamidolphins.com/news/ac-in-the-man-the-many-sides-of-dave-deguglielmo"He's hilarious," said veteran center Daniel Kilgore. DeGuglielmo, for instance, has nicknames for each of his linemen. Sometimes he gets real creative like when he calls rookie offensive lineman Michael Dieter "a bag of milk." "Think about it," said Kilgore. "That's a great description." And, oh yes, there's one other side of DeGuglielmo we have yet to really touch on, a side that his players seem to have embraced as well – as much as you can embrace a kick in the butt. He can be brutally hard on his players, demanding that things be done precisely the way he wants it. Just as that sense of humor can quickly appear so can that Italian fuse. Guard Evan Boehm played for DeGuglielmo last year in Indianapolis, which is a large reason why he is now with the Dolphins. You take care of Coach Guge and he'll take care of you. Sometimes he'll do it with a smile; other times with a scream. Either way, the message is usually received loud and clear. "What you see is what you get," Boehm said of his coach. "He's the same person 24 hours a day, seven days a week. He's intense. He gets after it. He demands perfection. He makes practice 10 times harder than a game. He'll kick you in the ass and pat you on the back, but I think he's best known for kicking you in the ass." Talk to each player and it is clear the type of impact Coach Guge is having. Talk to each player and it is clear the type of impact Coach Guge is having. Hahahahaha...… so, you took him up on his unwillingness to back up his own words, and proved that.... what? everybody seems to respect him???? He just threw that statement out there, hoping it would stick without anyone calling him on it. And proved how obtuse he was by not trying to back his own words up with facts.

Wow a lot of banter for an OL Coach; there has to be more than Callahan available to choose from? What about College level?
Anything is better at this point since Hunter is terrible.
I have to believe there is a plan to address the ineptness on the OL,
More wait and see.

We let the ****ing Browns hire Callahan so we could hire a bully who was fired and hated everywhere, just because Judge knows him..... SMFH!!! A Bully? Hated everywhere? Then why is Judge, who worked on the same staff as him, calling him in for an interview? Parcells was a bully. No human on earth could be more of a bully than Vince Lombardi. You are very loose with your accusations. To say that someone was hated everywhere is an exceptionally strong accusation. If I was Gug's I'd rip you a new Ahole for it..;. truly. You state your opinions as fact, and when Game Time called you on it you refused to back it up. These are your opinions, and they are rancid, like bad breath, and do not belong on this forum just because your man, Callahan, chose a different team. If I were a mod I'd put you on notice. You want to state such strong opinions, then back them up with some facts.

Looks like Marc Colombo is interviewing for OL Coach:
@jordanraanan Marc Colombo will interview for the Giants OL opening this week, sources tell @toddarcher and me. Jason Garrett’s presence as offensive coordinator would seem to make this a natural connection. Cowboys pass protection greatly improved in 2019 and still had 5th-ranked run offense.

I think he’s going to be our next offensive line coach. Maybe I’m just putting the two together Garrett and Colombo, they have a working relationship together, as coaches and coach to player. I remember Colombo being a nasty son of a bitch when he played.

They have Marc Columbo coming in who is young and did a good job in Dallas and D. Guelliemo coming in who coached the 2 years Scarnecchia took off and coached under him. There are other well qualified guys out there, We all wanted Callahan he chose the Browns.

so tell me which coaches that you know hire coaches they dont already know?? If he hired a coach he didnt know you'd be saying ridiculous things about that Ummmm.... No, I wouldn't. What job hires people with the only qualification being you know them? More assumptions. Life will get better when you stop making assumptions.

the attraction for Callahan to go to the Browns if that happens has to be money because neither team is a bigger attraction than the other, so money talks..

On my fathers side there's a well used saying for such happenings-- "whattaya gonna do?" No sense having a churning stomach over the choice of the next OL coach. Like our elders told us as young guys, "if she doesn't like you back she's not yours to have". Evidently Callahan still holds enough resentment to not work under Garrett. The potential ongoing instability and drama in Cleveland looked better to him. Hey, sometimes with some of these longtime coaches it comes down to geography--where he wants to grab a crib. If we buy into what Judge is selling then we should trust that he will put his potential success in good hands. Yes, I'm being "Captain Obvious" here--anyone but Hunter please. I prefer coaches that still want to work--not begged off the couch.

How do you know that the Giants were "asleep at the wheel". Do you know what they did or did not do to try to get Callahan here?
What do you mean sleeping at the wheel "again"? When else were they sleeping at the wheel?

What job hires people with the only qualification being you know them? So, you think the "ONLY" qualifications going into the hiring of his staff is that he "knows" them? That is a laughably silly opinion. What is more likely, being that he "knows" the people he's hiring, is that he "knows" their qualifications. Secondly, 2 seconds after this thread was started, Colombo was reported to be interviewing for the OC position and you stared another thread stating that HE was a "must get". You must be dizzy from all that flip flopping.

Well.....what else could it be? They didn't get the HC that fans thought they should get. Therefore......sleeping. Now...they didn't hire the OC that fans thought they should get.......Therefore......sleeping again. If only the FO would just read this board before hiring/not hiring someone.

Seems like always. Rather then get the best out there they allow coaches to hire friends Giants have stunk to long to worry about personalities and hurt feelings Get the best available people in here period. Out of playoffs to long. Imo ( maybe not yours or othere opinions ) Callahan was the best out there

How do you know that they didn't try to get Callahan and he chose the Browns?
