Obviously should've been a fair catch there, but does anyone think we would've moved down the field for a TD in 50 seconds, when that great defense would know there is no chance we'd be running the ball? Would've been a real long shot.

Some positives but outcome disappointing of course...I hate to be so pessimistic but I just can't see how this offense will be explosive consistently with this crap OL?...hope I'm wrong though It won't, not with Flowers on this line. This offense will not score consistently.

I’ll take it. At least it was a competitive game & the oline seemed to play better in the second half

the defense played well enough to win the game. Elis pick 6 is the difference.

Thinking again why did we put the game in the hands of Clay? Surely SB or obj both elite punt returners might have sprung a victory there and take it to the house, u don't put it in the hands of someone off the street. The one coaching error today. But it all came down to Sheps drop and Shep shud hav done better on 4th down as well. But Flowers is why we lost tho and he should be cut tomorrow, he's a waste of roster space. I'm heartened at out progress but furious at the missed chances this should have been a W coz against great teams when you were handed the game on a plate and not take it... You regret it forever.

Overall it was a competitive outing. The Oline just faced the best defensive line in football. That D line last year had 4 guys with at least 8 sacks. The Oline is a work in progress. Flowers is troubling though. If we could plug that up, we could be good. Barkley is a special player. He gives me the feeling that OBJ gives me which is incredible. Something great can happen at any moment. Engram needs to wake his ass up. He has to be an aggressive player out there. He plays very soft at times, missing blocks, dropping passes, and not fighting for more yardage. He drives me nuts. He is so talented. Aside from the catastrophic fumble. The Special Teams unit played outstanding which is a huge turnaround from years past. I seriously wanted Beckham returning that last punt, anything can happen. And yes, that Barkley run should have been challenged, he had a first down. I was screaming at the TV to challenge that crap.

We have to get Saquan the ball more. Play action pass back to him, screens, or line the guy up at wide receiver like Tiki use to. This kid is special but he needs open space. We have 2 players now that are phenomenal with the ball in their hands and open space. That was the best defense in football we just played.

Defense played very well. Except for Barkley's great run the running game is missing. Offense is too dependent on the pass and teams are quickly going to figure that out. Defense will get worn out as season progresses unless offense can get running game going. However, it was a good game against a really good and better team. This...

Before the start of the game I was of the mindset that if we lost I was hoping that we would at least be competitive and we were but It really blows to end the game on a muffed punt return and not be able to have one more shot to score and win..

Face it it is the same frustrating events like last year. Can't convert key $rd & 4th downs and in almost every good drive there was a penalty to kill it or hold it to 3 points. When you hold the opposing teams O that was one play from going to the SB last year to 0-7 in 2nnd half drives and you score 9 you should win. But it's the same flowers screwing up drives and allowed the pic 6. Same 10/15 ppg as last year

So....I read thru all the comments being as I have boycotted watching the NFL till they get their caca straight. From what I have gathered, Flowers was his usual shitty self & seems to have cost us pts with his numerous holding penalties that out us in constant 3rd & longs which against a top D like the Jags, is a huge no no. Engram continues to have butter fingers like last yr. Eli played a good game but was off on a few throws & the D played decent considering that they actually only gave up 13 pts & shut out the Jags in the 2nd half. And our newly signed PR muffed a punt to end the game? Now I'll go look at some highlights to see how my boy SB did in his debut. Sounds like the Giants shoulda won this game from the comments posted. If Flowers is still the starter next week, the run game will continue to flounder & he is a drive killer. Plz sweet baby Jesus, let the HC bench this steaming pile of chewed bubble gum!

Same 10/15 ppg as last year I honestly don't know what to say to anyone that thinks the defensive performance is the same as last year based on the game we just watched. It's a long season, so I guess it could revert back, injuries can happen etc...but that was a very, very different defensive team. We'll see about the offense. You can tell it's a different system, but players as bad as flowers may be too much to overcome.

We all know Ereck Flowers is not that good. The fact that he started because we have no one better is a damning indictment of the O-line! He should be cut Monday and send a message to the team. If you can't play your gone!

I'd just play Wheeler. It can't be worse and I think he at least takes to coaching. Ereck Flowers is the same exact player he was in 2015. Might be worse.
