Cap hit won't be 75...signing bonus can be spread over the course of the contract but the player gets the cash immediately There goes all of Dallas' cap space for the next 3 years.. As a fan of NYG, this is good news. I was more concerned of the unknown than this huge deal happening. Once again, a lower draft pick hits it big but no one knows how he will play after that injury.

Franchise quarterbacks are getting richer and richer. His injury should not have any affect on his throwing motion. Dallas from all accounts just resigned a talented still in his prime quarterback. That doesn’t help us at all..

Great news for the rest of the division. Even with Dak the Cowboys weren't winning last year because their defense is utter trash. Zeke is approaching his sell by date and the Cowboys are so top heavy, they are going to have to rely on the bottom tier players to round out their roster. Thank you Jerruh!

Man, Jones got curb-stomped in the Dak negotiations He's spending all that utility money he just raked. It is how he made his money to start with. He's a raw hydrocarbon kinda guy ! Bless his heart. I'm sending him my share when my power bill comes in mid-month.

You may be a bit over-sold right there. There's a lot of restructuring goin on down there in Frisco, Texas. $22.2M cap hit this year with 10 draft picks. 3 pro-bowl OL back, 2 of which never played a down. One miss 7 games. They're all paid for and probably restructuring right now. Cap will most assuredly go up for 2022 and cover Dak. Zeke is probably gone next year which will open more cap. Cows will do OK. What most don't realize (on here) that in 2016 when they went 13-3 they were in cap hell and crawled out of it by 2019. Those rookie contracts are the shizzle!

Tem, ...... Did they announce the cap going up from 180 to 200 mil ? That's great. We better be able to sign LW and DT if Dallas can fit in 40 mil this year. Plus it could go up again if the TV contracts get signed. Or did they get signed ? No they did not . I was just using that as a metric. 180, 195 next year, 205 the next and than 210, (198 average). It may take 4 years of a relatively flat cap to recoup losses. Thanks Tem.

if a team has a QB they believe in then this is the going rate after the rookie deal. All teams hope to have a franchise QB . Paying them is part of the NFL game. The Giants will hopefully be in the same boat with Jones soon.
Dont know why some are commenting on the %od cap going to Dak. It is what it is.
I like Dak and think he is a very good QB most of the time
