I’m starting to think there is very little chance that Slater makes it to 11. I see 4 potential landing spots for Sewell and Slater in the top 10: 5. Bengals (have to protect Burrow, but could they go Pitts if he is there?) 7. Lions (they need a WR, but I could see Campbell wanting to start his rebuild by fortifying the trenches) 8. Panthers (after the Darnold trade, I see this as a likely OL landing spot unless they trade back) 10. Cowboys (Surtain makes more sense, but their OL is aging) A lot has to go our way for Slater to make it to us IMO I think Miami and Panthers are almost locks to go OL. Sure they might go WR or something but Tua and Darnold NEED protection or it doesn't matter what else they have. Disagree about Miami. I think they moved back up to 6 to get a playmaker - Pitts or one of the WR’s

Paye does seem to check the boxes. He had a very impressive Pro Day. I just don't feel like DE/edge is as much need as other positions. He seems to check the culture box from what I know about him and seems versatile which Graham is big on...can't say this pick would really get me excited though. i don’t think he fits the defense. He’s got that John Randle physique yet taller. I see him as a 4-3 defender. This 3-4 needs road blocks on the LOS. Someday maybe Gettleman will get that pass rusher from OLB (which now appears to have adopted the title “edge” while more physical has been replaced by physicality :/)

Unless of course they just want one of Tua's boys from Bama lol.

I think Miami and Panthers are almost locks to go OL. Sure they might go WR or something but Tua and Darnold NEED protection or it doesn't matter what else they have. I have the Falcons and Benglas to each taking an O-linemen So I think we can all agree there are perhaps 4+ teams before us that could go OL. Very small chance Slater or Sewell make it to us.
