Paye is a better athelete but has no idea what he's doing when pass rushing. Its why he only had 11 sacks in 4 years. His pass rush skillset leave a lot to be desired and is a projection Why does Paye have such a high projection? Edge with 11 sacks in 4 years is similar to eating 12 white castle hamburgers and drinking a gallon of malt liquor. The results are similar to having flare up of Colitis and Crohns disease. Can't they draft an edge player who can't get to the QB in the 3rd round?Getty has perfected this goal twice now!

So, if I am reading this right, if the Giants do in fact end up drafting Paye, it isn't because they feel he fits, it is because Graham has an oversized ego? Or is it, they do think he fits but are just idiots because giantlegacy understands what the Giants want to do on defense better than the Giants defensive coordinator? How does a guy with remedial pass rush skills at best who at best will be a run shopping DE that is best fit for a 4/3 a better fit than a potential shut down corner that can help the back end force a qb to hold the ball a little longer to help what we have (Paye will not be any better than any of our edge rushers currently on roster, you can't take a guy like this at 11)at 11? A run stopping at best 4/3 rotational guy at 11 Lol Ok Again..... If the Giants DO draft him, is it because Graham is egotistical or because he is an idiot because you understand their defense better than he does? I'm just trying to understand your logic here. You are making a very good case for why they won't draft him. Many of the points I agree with. But if they do end up drafting him it will invalidate all of your points on the case unless in fact you know better than them about their own defensive scheme. So, do you know more about defense and specifically the Giants defensive scheme than Patrick Graham?

I would recommend finding reasons to like whoever they do draft. Since we really can't do anything about it and we will be rooting for them to be successful regardless.

Bitch vehemently for 5 - 10 minutes after the pick, get it out of my system and move on. Not what I do. I spend the time before the draft looking at the prospects from the perspective of "if they do draft this player what will he bring to the team". This turns draft day into something very exiting as there are a whole bunch of players I'm excited to see join the team and finally get to find out which ones they will pick of them. So only good things come out of draft day for me. Too many people spend their energy getting upset over who they pick. I don't find this to be enjoyable, I'd rather be excited and happy than disappointed and miserable. I often find myself in the minority in choosing that preference.

Please continue to "like" the losing.. Well, since the next game isn't played for several months, not sure how that is relevant to this week. But again, if you prefer to find reasons to be unhappy, have at it. I prefer the opposite. Everyone is a winner on draft day by my view. We can't see the future. We don't know how good or bad these kids will become. We have our opinions. Though we don't have the knowledge, experience or access to have particularly informed opinions. At least not as much as the teams do. Seems like a wasted effort to me to be so upset over something we don't know enough about and have absolutely no control over. We will be rooting for these kids if the Giants draft them. I would hope anyway since we are Giants fans. What do you lose by finding reasons to like what they could bring to the team. Will it make the losing better if you think these kids are bad picks before they step out on the field? Maybe for you, not for me. The losing sucks either way, might as well enjoy the time leading up to it by being hopefully optimistic. Won't change the end result, make losing any worse/better or winning any less or more enjoyable. It will only make the time between games and seasons more enjoyable.

When it comes to building a winning team in the NFL his ideas and mine a lot different. I guess we will see if his method can work but the results up to now are not looking good for him..

Nope not so far. There have been some good signs and some bad ones. But the winning isn't there, so he has failed so far. He doesn't have much rope left from me, but we will see this season. I will remain optimistic for now.

Oh Remember when I used to call our WRs Shepard and a bucket of hopes and prayers in 2019 "HOW DARE YOU CALL LATIMER,FOWLER AND COLEMAN HOPES AND PRAYERS!THEY WILL BE GOOD ENOUGH!" How did that work out and then last year Hey now you are being WARNED that a fan is only allowed to be optimistic. Forget the record or what you think might be the better selections to help the team and never again should you speak poorly about a player because you can't possibly know enough about them to form an opinion!! I'll give you a pass this time but I expect you to be sunshine and rainbows no matter what from now on.. No, not what I said. I said I suggest being optimistic, because I think you will enjoy it more. He also is mis-quoting me, but then clearly neither of you take the time to read what I said. So have at it. I find optimism more enjoyable experience when it comes to the draft, I suggest you do the same because I think you may enjoy it more. But apparently I am out of line for making suggestion to improve your enjoyment. Do what you want, but the constant complaining and whining by quite a large portion of this board is both tiresome and childish. I am surprised that so many seem to enjoy your team more this way, but have at it.

Their record is the reason for not having the optimism at this point and to be honest I can't believe you don't understand this!! I understand that. Where did you get the impression that I didn't. I make the choice to be optimistic because I have found it more enjoyable than being pessimistic despite the voluminous reasons to be pessimistic. >The Giants have been losing for a really long time. >In that time they have rarely been even competitive >Their high and low round draft picks have mostly not worked out in that time >They often make questionable and perplexing decisions on FA moves, salaries and roster construction >They seem to show a debilitating commitment to loyalty in a highly competitive sport that often requires cold decisions >etc...etc...etc... I could go all day on a rant about all the bad decisions that the Giants have made recently and in the past decade. I'm not blind. I just made the choice a while ago to look at the bright side of these decisions so I can still find some enjoyment in following a team that seems determined to disappoint its fan base in the win column every single year. I have enjoyed the past few years significantly more because of it. I see a lot of fans that are unhappy with the team and it is likely draining much of their enjoyment in following them. I am offering a suggestion to those who are sick of all of the afore mentioned mismanagement that may help them find a bit more enjoyment through it all. Since there is nothing we can do about it but complain and whine. You can take my advice or not, I don't care. I only suggest it because I think you may enjoy it more. During the season, I look for reasons why they may win the upcoming game. It helps me get excited to watch. I won't be too excited if I expect them to lose. Whether I go into the game expecting a win or a loss it has no impact on my disappointment or elation after the game. But it has a big impact on my enjoyment of the Giants in the week leading up to the game. In the off season I look at prospects and FA in how they can help this team if they are added, so regardless of who they draft or sign I can be happy about the signing or trade. Despite all the mounting evidence that there is little rational support of optimism for the team and its decisions. All I am trying to offer to you is an alternative view of these players in the draft beyond doom and gloom.

1-I don't, just offering an alternative and sharing my observations. How you interpret it is out of my control. 2-Oh....believe me I know very few people are like me and have no interest in any of them being like me. I'm nuts, I'm not evil. 3-Sorry, I try to help others in any way I am able in all aspects of my life. Words are the only thing I can offer here. You are welcome to ignore me if you choose. 4-Hmmmm....interesting and quite hypocritical point by you here. 5- I am discussing the team and my alternate point of view on the subject. Sorry if you don't like hearing an opinion that differs from your own. I usually have quite enjoyable discussions with people on topics in which we disagree. Excellent how about sticking with this since your opinions of personal matters is completely incorrect and not what this forum is for.. I see you are still making stuff up which again shows you aren't capable of understanding people through a forum! Basic stuff here yet you decided to try and derail mine and other's comments because they don't fit your narrative or that you can't handle a differing opinion.. I recommend things I think people will enjoy more than the alternative. Same way I would recommend a movie or a book I think someone may enjoy. Don't really consider such advice of a personal manner. Sorry if you feel that way. Again, I cannot control your interpretation of my words. I will continue to share my opinions and observations on this open forum in any manner I wish. You are welcome to ignore me if you don't like them.

Bitch vehemently for 5 - 10 minutes after the pick, get it out of my system and move on. Yeah, that's why you're crappy fans. You need to bitch long and loud, revise as much history as is necessary to make whatever harebrained crap you are positing seem reasonable and under no circumstances be satisfied with anything. The net results will be 100% exactly the same despite your junior chemistry set GM nonsense, but that's not what's important here. It's about being a better fan. Get with it.

Neither.
Jordan Raanan confirmed today on his Breaking Blue podcast, that he's heard absolutely no talk/connection between the Giants and pass-rushers at the top of the draft
