What the hell is going on everyday something is happening with these NFL players. Mingo, Sherman, and now Haskins. And this is just in a week and a half. People are getting hurt. This is just awful. Who knows if this has been going on for awhile.

it looks to me that the NFL commissioner needs to spend more time restoring some of the dignity and pride in this league and less on how to make more money for it, sounds old fashioned I know but its what I'm thinking....

I smell a new reality tv show brewing here, call it 'NFL Babylon' or something. It will be highly entertaining and have the extra bennie of annoying the snot out of the uptight, hypocrites out there..
You can even have a few extra stats out there like arrest record, type of arrest, time spent in jail, prison. bonds paid, child support and the all. Alongside the usual TFL, sacks, completions, almost completions, should have been completed etc.

This is a real thing unfortunately and more prevelant than we think,mainly because in addition to dealing with domestic violence there is the shake factor that the guys are the victims,especially if it gets out in public I know a very well known model in my circle that has been charged multiple times in Canada...including an NHL player she beat up in the middle of a night club Find me a guy that takes his own life that has on paper a dime piece type woman and a great life and odds are he was in a domestic violence situation as the victim I think IIR Andre Rison was dealing with this Haskins meanwhile Somebody needs to have a major life intervention |

I know I posted earlier about the brand being hurt and joking about it etc but reading in detail what happened is chilling. To me this is instant divorce and if I were Haskins I would press full charges..Zero tolerance for this
Whackos and gold diggers are a fact of life around NFL and other entertainment figures. These chicks marry one of the guys and they think its an instant ticket to wealth. On the other hand guys should have their radar on for gold diggers and the like

mental health needs to be a part of everyone's awareness. Taking care of your mental and emotional health dosnt mean you're crazy, unhinged etc. Like physical health there are all ranges and degrees of mental health. The negative stigma is archaic and needs to go.

The guy should actually be commended for the restraint he showed in not escalating the situation by striking her back, although I'm not sure if that was a conscious decision since it sounds like she may have knocked him out cold. |

I actually find some of the comments in this thread kind of lame. He actually did the right thing by NOT hitting the woman and destroying his career before it even got started. The narrative would have been very different had he retaliated or initiated the incident. Men can also be victims of domestic disputes. Maybe the reason they don't come out is because of the ridicule that they encounter. People are actually calling him a pussy for not hitting her back. IMO, he deserves a ton of credit for having the restraint to not retaliate. I just don't get the clowning on him about this situation considering that he was the victim.
