That was a pretty bad performance.
Don't care about winning or losing, but it is how it is done. And it was done ugly.
Our roster is thin on talent. Extremely. Some of you guys still like DG though. 4 seasons in and he still sucks at building a team.
And I tried to warn you all about Glennon when we signed him. We needed a good backup with DJs injury history. Glennon is awful. He was terrible in Jax last year. There are better backup QBs out there than him. Much better. He won't win us any games if we need him to step in a game or 2. I would rather Colt McCoy back.
The OL depth is awful. God forbid if we lose a starter to injury. In fact, isn't Wiggins in line to start right now with Lemieux out?
I was left disappointed in Rodarius Williams performance. I heard hood things about him all summer. He was always a step behind. Gave up some long 3rd downs.
All and all, it's preseason, but they need to show improvement in the next game.

That’s not true at all. If your starting QB goes down for the season, you’re screwed. If he goes down for a few games, you need a backup that can win a game or 2 in the stater’s absence. We do not have such a backup you know all that from 3/4 a half of football? 🤦♂️ Mike glennon is a decent backup. Mike Glennon is terrible

If you watch the replay of Sandro Platzgummer’s 48 yard run, watch Barkley on the sideline. He’s jumping up and down like a maniac. He’s the guy with the towel. My guess is he will play opening day. streamable.com/bpdz14

was hoping for a bit better showing in general. I get it was many 2nd and 3rd teamers but the basics like tackling etc were lacking. Both lines getting blown off the ball at at time.
Odenigbo playing against 3rd teams look ineffective. His spin moves were useless. Not that I was expecting to be some great pass rusher but would have liked to see more.
See what the next two games bring.

Cant be too high or low after last night because no DJ, SQB, Shepard, Toney, Golladay, Engram, Rudolph and 98% of the defense. But a few thoughts.
- OL is still a huge liability. Granted no Lemeiux, but saw a decent amount of pressure up front and the obvious whiff by Peart. Thought Thomas and Hernandez did well in the run game. Depth behind starting 5 is bad.
- Was super excited watching Clement until his ill timed fumble. Cant have that. Mistakes like that in preseason can and will cost you a roster spot.
- Rodarius Williams battled. Saw him playing a lot in slot, which I dont recall hearing him play there in camp. But he was also tasked against Corey Davis on a number of plays. Could be something there.
- Carter Coughlin is going to get a lot of playing time. Versatile as heck.
- Learn to slide Daniel. Please.

Clement has 6 fumbles in his career with only 200 touches. Thats not good but only 2 last season. High and tight kid!!!

But remember this we might not see Kyle Rudolph and Saquon Barkley till the regular season hopefully week 1 so even game three of the preseason we wont be a complete team.

Glennon should of had a TD or at least a long completion to Slayton on his first throw. Hopefully Larsen is a better OL then Wiggens.

Well, Colt McCoy won a game for us last year. I'm not defending Glennon, but anyone who was surprised tonight needs a wake up . Backup QB's are backups for a reason. They're all basically trash, and every fan in football shares the same fears about losing their starting QB. My main point is that if Jones can't stay healthy again this season, we have bigger problems than Mike Glennon. Tell that to Jeff Hostetler. That was a different era entirely. Before free agency, teams could have 2 starting QB's on the roster. Who's the best backup QB in the league today?

He's on such a different level then Glennon it's not even funny. They both suck.

Which coach(es) on our vaunted coaching staff determined that Clayton Thorson was an NFL player?

Which coach(es) on our vaunted coaching staff determined that Clayton Thorson was an NFL player? The same ones that thought John could be an NFL TE. He looked like he has been getting personal coaching from Evan Engram on how (not) to block. At least John can catch the ball. ... Maybe we trade EE for OL depth and keep John on the cheap??

Which coach(es) on our vaunted coaching staff determined that Clayton Thorson was an NFL player? LOL I think the only answer is they liked his arm and mobility and thought they could fix him enough to be a future #2. Last night tells me they should pull the plug and get a developmental type guy at #3.

OL depth is not bad. It simply doesn't exist and I'm sure we'll see plenty of action when the roster cuts begin. Thorson was used as pre-season cannon fodder, nothing more.

No way that happens with this guy … time to upgrade You are speaking to someone who agrees with that. Right now I think our QB depth is built on cost because of the cap reduction. Our team was and to some extent is lacking in some areas. That money was needed to address other areas of need.
