I'm a bit surprised no one commented on this. Maybe it's because his personal demons have overshadowed his playing days.

Pretty good so far. Cool to see how smart he was/is I learned a couple of things watching...Taylor was a football savant, had no idea his football IQ was so high. The other thing is how much the Joe Theismann leg injury affected him even till this day he has a hard time with it. Great piece.

Belichick put him on same level as Brady and Randy Moss in terms of football IQ if not higher. Truly born to play football in every way, shape and form

What I found interesting is that Taylor made Belichick a better defensive coach.

“I’m going to gather my grandchildren around me and when they ask me about LT, I’m just going to tell them LT was one bad M Fu!”

Man...such a privilege to have watched him play. Once in a lifetime player...truly. Every defensive player pales in comparison to him. I used to rename all my G.I. Joes after him. Simply the best...and that still feels like an understatement.

A lot of the same stuff and footage that was already used in the much better piece LT: The Life And Times. I loved the last quote in LT: The Life And Times- "When my grandkid asks me, Grandpa, what was LT like? I'ma look down and tell him, LT was a Bad Mutha-F@ka."

What I found interesting is that Taylor made Belichick a better defensive coach. I like the footage where LT is explaining something going on in the field and Coach Bellichek is hanging on every word; simply remarkable. LT has been drug free for quite some time now. Has had some issues with the bottle but apparently has put that down as well. I really would love to see LT come back to NY Giants organization as a coach but I know it’s probably better for his own mental well being and quality of life to stay away from the frenetic Tri-State Metropolitan Area. Every now and then LT will play a few rounds of golfdown here in Southern Pines and Pinehurts as well as occasionally being seen in Chapel Hill. Doggone it. Such great memories as a kid watching LT play football; he was larger than life and one of our heroes; if we had a lead we’d wouldn’t even care if offense went three and out because we wanted that Defense back on the field.

I remember that New Orleans game like it was yesterday. I remember thinking at the time that he just imposed his will on that game.
It was amazing.
