With Herbert going back to school and updated rankings, here's what i came up with.....
YOUR TEAM NEW YORK GIANTS YOUR PICKS 1: R1P3 OT JONAH WILLIAMS ALABAMA 2: R2P3 G MICHAEL JORDAN OHIO STATE 3: R4P3 LB DEVIN BUSH MICHIGAN 4: R4P35 CB BLACE BROWN TROY 5: R5P3 EDGE CARL GRANDERSON WYOMING 6: R6P3 S LUKAS DENIS BOSTON COLLEGE 7: R7P22 EDGE JALEN JELKS OREGON 8: R7P32 S CHASE HANSEN UTAH
If you ask me, its a pretty solid draft. We get the best OT and best OG/C in the draft to fix the OL. We get a great cover LB, a quality CB, 2 edge rushers overflowing with potential and talent, a ball hawking safety to pair with LC, and a safety who may be better off changing positions to become a 3-4 ILB who could excell in coverage
Sounds like we could easily transition to Herbert, Fromm, Tua, or Eason in 2020

just updated the rankings so i figured, why not do another one
2: R1P2 DL ED OLIVER HOUSTON 34: R2P2 C DALTON RISNER KANSAS STATE 104: R4P2 CB AMANI ORUWARIYE PENN STATE 137: R4P35 C TYLER BIADASZ WISCONSIN 142: R5P2 S LUKAS DENIS BOSTON COLLEGE 176: R6P2 EDGE CARL GRANDERSON WYOMING 242: R7P26 EDGE JALEN JELKS OREGON 248: R7P32 S MIKE EDWARDS KENTUCKY
1st- Aaron Donald 2.0 in Oliver 2nd- immediatley upgrades the Center spot, and RT in a pinch 4th- my 2nd favorite cb in the draft, cant believe he is going so low 4th- instant upgrade at C or G 5th- ball hawking coverage safety who could play centerfield 6th- edge rusher with tons of potential 7th- see above, lol 7th- complete package at safety, would go MUCH higher if he was bigger
Id like to see us make a move for RT Rob Havenstein from Rams or Darryl Williams from Carolina, both are young RT's that have played quite well in their careers and are graded pretty highly by everyones favorite site, PFF, lol

He has great speed, elusiveness, good hands, etc. He is a big play machine. They call him Hollywood Brown. I'd definitely check him out. I think he is one of the most fun players to watch in college football. Ferguson is a guy I have seen a couple of times and he has a really good burst off the edge. I think he has a lot of potential and would be a good guy to throw in the mix at the very least. Him and Carter would definitely have good burst off the edge. Check some of his clips on YouTube since LA Tech isn't on TV too much. I have seen him play probably 3 times live and always was impressive. Gilbert is a guy I have seen a couple of times and he seems like a really solid Corner all around. I was hoping the Penn St CB would drop, but he didn't fall in this mock, but Gilbert showed ability to tackle, cover, and he made a couple picks when I have seen him. Granted one was on a poor throw, but he was in good position. Also has good size 6'1. I think he could get a little bigger as far as build, because he is kinda thin, but you've seen it work before with guys like DRC who aren't the biggest CB's, but have good height and length Hodge is a guy I hear a ton about. I have only had a chance to watch him live twice, but they rave about him in Buffalo. A lot of my friends say he is the best LB they have had since Mack. Obviously not putting him in that category, but they say he can do it all. I believe he has played safety in the past and can play inside and on the edge. Tackling machine. He was all over the field when I watched him play

I just checked walterfotball and this is what they say 'For the NFL, sources feel that Brown is similar to T.Y. Hilton or Will Fuller. Brown catches the ball better than Fuller with more yards-after-the-catch skills than the Texans speedster, but Fuller is a better route runner than Brown. Brown is not as good of a make-you-miss receiver as the Chiefs Tyreek Hill. Brown is a very fast wideout who is a threat to score anytime he catches a pass. Brown has a thin frame and needs to get stronger for the NFL, but he is very explosive. If he can maintain his speed while adding weight, he could be a dynamic wide receiver. ' 5'11, 160lb sounds WAY skinny for my liking. I want someone more like 6'4, 230lb to bring a different aspect to the game than small speedsters, then again he's being compared to AB, Will Fuller, TY Hilton, and Tyreek Hill.... so yea As for Ferguson, i havent heard much about him, especialy good stuff about him... The way this draft is OVERFLOWING with edge rushers i think id pass on this guy for someone like Jalen Jelks from Oregon, Carl Granderson from Wyoming, or Oshane Ximines from Old Dominion if we are looking for a mid-later round edge rusher Cant find ANYTHING about Gilbert, but there are some pretty good cb's in the draft this year. I agree about the penn state CB Amani Oruwariye, dude is awesome, probably my 2nd favorite cb in the draft, he's big, fast, can cover with the best of them. I feel like in any other draft he would be at least a 2nd round pick yet this year ive seen him getting mocked in the 3rd or 4th Not too familiar with any nfl prospects from buffalo outside of khalil mack

I think Latimer filled that role fairly well when he was playing this year. Brown at that point in the draft is something I'd instantly pull the trigger on and I would have to think he could be a terror in the return game. Gilbert is a guy that I've liked from what I've seen. Tough to judge where he will be picked since he isn't playing like Greedy, but has the size. I just looked at some stuff on him and it looks like he out for year now with a hip injury which I was unaware of, so i would likely be passing on that pick lol. Ferguson has a ton of sacks this year 9.5 already. He had 7 last year. I like Granderson a lot and Jelks is a guy I like late as well. I've been watching a good amount of Oregon since we were in the Herbert sweepstakes. Hodge is someone I'll going to try and pay a lot of attention to throughout the year. My friends are hyping him to be the truth. The only other time they did that was with Mack, although he was known by everyone lol. But the last LB named Khalil turned out pretty good from Buffalo LOL. 99 tackles so far this year and I think he had over 150 last year. The guy flies all over the field and can be a 3 down guy for sure from what I've seen

We really need to capitalize with this many picks. Another second rounder or getting a 3rd round pick would be nice

Hahaha....I'd go 6 if we can unload the chump Solder, who obviously does not fit into any rebuilding plans with that completely insane, and said so at the time, contract....for average on the best system for what seems forever in the history of the NFL. Rule of thumb - avoid any players from the BB system that hit the free agent market. There has not been one good move from free agency to drafting DG has made (BJ Hill aside), and the team is in a complete misdirection of where, what, why and when. These things are early...but fun, so we need to take these all for fun at this point. Jonah Williams needs to play against some quality pass rusher before I consider him top ten. Ed Oliver or Bosa if we don't go Hebert.

Jonah Williams needs to play against some quality pass rusher before I consider him top ten. He is the best OT in a bad OT class, that and alot of the experts are suggesting that he will be a RT or OG in the NFL. Not sure if I want to use a top 3 pick on that..... Andre Dillard is an intriguing prospect, he sounds like the perfect LT..... well other than that he is not really good at any set of blocking, more so ok enough. ''On the edge, Dillard is a good athlete with quick feet to get depth in his drop. He is adept at heading off speed rushers and keeping them from getting turned to the quarterback. Dillard plays with good leverage, as he is a knee bender and does not bend at the waist. There have been a few plays on which Dillard has allowed rushers to get speed upfield, but he has demonstrated nice recoverability to push the rushers deep and around the pocket to protect his tackle. In the ground game, Dillard is neither a bull who will knock defensive linemen off the ball, nor a force at the point of attack who will push a defensive end out of his gap. However, he is quick to engage defenders and shows some ability to latch onto them to sustain his block with some manipulation of them. For the NFL, Dillard should get stronger to become a more balanced blocker. With Dillard's quickness and athleticism, he could be a starting left tackle at the next level. He probably won't ever be a forceful run blocker, but the NFL is a passing-driven league, so he does not have to be a bull in the ground game to serve as a valuable starter Sources say Dillard has some quickness and athletic ability to go with NFL size. He is fast to get out of his stance, plus has the ability to hit blocks on the second level. His quick feet and agility have impressed team sources for an NFL-sized blocker. Some team sources feel Dillard has left tackle potential for the NFL and felt better about him more than other highly touted tackle prospects like Washington's Trey Adams and Texas' Connor Williams. With his quality play protecting the blind side of Luke Falk, Dillard has turned himself into a player to watch for the 2019 NFL Draft. '

' Doing this mock draft I noticed something...we sure do miss that 3rd round pick. Was DG aware this is a deep corner draft before he made another infamous trade? BTW, the more I watch Herbert on Saturday's, the more certain I am we messed up taking Barkley at 2. Might need to sign a free agent QB, and start grabbing a center and guard this year to keep the interior pass push manageable as we will be lucky to get a right tackle out of this draft class. I am liking the Wisconsin kids Benzschawel and Biadasz for the interior. On tape and watching their games on Saturday, both look NFL quality.

These things are early...but fun, so we need to take these all for fun at this point. Jonah Williams needs to play against some quality pass rusher before I consider him top ten. Ed Oliver or Bosa if we don't go Hebert. BJ Hill was drafted and not a free agent. I think Gettleman did great in the draft and sucky in free agency....He has no pro player personnel person on staff. He needs to add another Marc Ross....who can pick good players from other NFL teams... I could do that job. Much easier to scout pros

I suggested the Barkley pick a C because we needed a QB, and that pick should of been Allen, Darnold or Rosen. I gave the Will pick a B because Shurmur runs zone blocking, and big Will is more a power blocker than a Wynn was. He nailed his 2 third rounders, gave them A grades. Picking which free agent is the correct fit is never the proper way to build a team....at best, fitting a few missing pieces and not overpaying. Once a player goes for the biggest dollars, it be very rare to trust his work ethic in the upcoming years...the Haynsworth Redskin dilemma as I call it. I am very surprised we did not trade more assets at the time teams would pay the most.

"How good do scouts think Houston's Ed Oliver is? One director of scouting told me Oliver has the highest grade he's ever given a player. Higher than Mack, Aaron Donald, Myles Garrett or Jadeveon Clowney"
