I still want a trade back to get more picks for 2019 and 2020, but I could live with this right now.

Hahaha....I'd go 6 if we can unload the chump Solder, who obviously does not fit into any rebuilding plans with that completely insane, and said so at the time, contract....for average on the best system for what seems forever in the history of the NFL. Rule of thumb - avoid any players from the BB system that hit the free agent market. There has not been one good move from free agency to drafting DG has made (BJ Hill aside), and the team is in a complete misdirection of where, what, why and when. These things are early...but fun, so we need to take these all for fun at this point. Jonah Williams needs to play against some quality pass rusher before I consider him top ten. Ed Oliver or Bosa if we don't go Hebert. BJ Hill was drafted and not a free agent. I think Gettleman did great in the draft and sucky in free agency....He has no pro player personnel person on staff. He needs to add another Marc Ross....who can pick good players from other NFL teams... I could do that job. Much easier to scout pros I was totally wrong bout Hill, I honestly thought he was drafted so high because of the attention paid to Chubb rather than his skill, looks like I was wrong Im thrilled that i was wrong, Hill has looked pretty good so far

"How good do scouts think Houston's Ed Oliver is? One director of scouting told me Oliver has the highest grade he's ever given a player. Higher than Mack, Aaron Donald, Myles Garrett or Jadeveon Clowney" Matt Miller This guy on this defense with Hill,Tomlinson,Carter and we keep Vernon makes this defense potent. This is an amazingly deep draft for edge and DT...corners are deep, and the offensive line is not as bad as fans believe...there are some tackles once you begin watching some games and video that look the potential to rise greatly after the combine. We should be able to solidify the trenches. Interior OL looks good...linebackers...a few gems. If the Giants reach for Herbert, and for me...he does not look that great of a QB prospect, and certainly IMHO not in the class of the big four last year, they would be stuck with his development for years. Meanwhile, other strong QB drafts happen, such as next year, and while we might be in the running each year with our development QB that aint developing, we are going to be in that hell of the QB reach and pray every 3-4 years. Build the defense, the trenches and await the proper time for the QB....might be better off going for a vet QB not named Eli for a few years and see how that works out.

If they dont go Oliver or Bosa with their 1st pick, Id trade back. Yeah, if we end up 3-5, with Bosa plus freaky Ed being taken....a trade back and nailing some capital in 2020 might be the correct thing to do. If DG saw flaws in each of the 4 QB's last year, and he grabs Herbert this year, then he was lying last year. Herbert has many more flaws than each of the big four, and if we begin to reach every 3 years for a QB, this team is 20 years away from its next superbowl. Teams do not win building around a running back, and that was basically what we did when we drafted the talented Barkley. Since any and all QB prospects this year, IMHO, are reaches, we need to plan for 2020, and it seems odd how the team does everything part of the way. We traded Snacks and Apple, yet why we did not acquire more at the deadline is baffling. We certainly are not going to win a playoff game with Manning, have no QB aside from a 4th round pick who hates NY/NJ traffic....and yet I am reading we should draft any QB this year while most fans who want the draft a QB now, have no idea the horrors of investing in a reached for QB entail. The Giants, if they garner any sense, need to acquire a ton of picks for 2020 when the QB class looks deeper and far more talented, thus allowing us some move up in the draft if need be assets. The importance of having a Darnold, Allen or Rosen in place is insanely important....I am still bewildered why we took Barkley. That was such the wrong pick at 2 with 3 potential talented franchise QB's sitting there. 2: R1P2 DL ED OLIVER HOUSTON 34: R2P2 G BEAU BENZSCHAWEL WISCONSIN 104: R4P2 C TYLER BIADASZ WISCONSIN 132: R4P30 EDGE OSHANE XIMINES ODU 137: R4P35 CB AMANI ORUWARIYE PENN STATE 142: R5P2 WR HUNTER RENFOW CLEMSON 144: R5P4 OT BOBBY EVANS OKLAHOMA 176: R6P2 DL RAEQUAN WILLIAMS MICHIGAN STATE 238: R7P22 OT TYREE ST. Best player in the draft Ed Oliver, playmaking center fielder that can do corner followed by the offensive line...best Tide offensive linemen, a guard, followed by the center that will be a first round pick when the draft rolls around, a tackle project with a tackle injured project, including a probable Patriot WR, watch some Clemson to see how good the little Renfow is...Ximines, who will be rising in dramatic fashion once the combine hits... a smart QB with a weak arm, yes another one for us, but who has no road rage issues....and a red zone running back we will release with our QB. Extra 4th rounders, hit some CB's....the class is deep and we might get a solid starter in the 4th.

Johah Williams has me sold as a top 5 pick....his technique his superb. This guy to begin the right side for a year as we pay Solder QB money, and the two Wisconsin pro ready linemen, will solidify the right side and center for the next 10 years. Fix the offensive line, and the QB will come, and thrive.
Not a single QB I would enter hell with this year....so far as to what I am seeing.

There are so many good directions we can go in the 1st without being forced to go QB......
Ed Oliver is getting Aaron Donald comparisons, which should say enough, slightly undersized but a total game changer from either the inside on 4 man fronts or at DE in 3 man sets, he has been making double teams look like a joke he's really fun to watch
Nick Bosa is 1 of the best edge rushers since his brother came out, he's fast, has great hand usage, extremely athletic, the total package
Jonah Williams is a plug and play OL, he could play any spot on the line from day 1 except maybe center, dude is strong, agile, a great pass protector and mauling run blocker, not many holes in his game
Devin White is the most complete LB prospect in years, is he a better blitzer, run stuffer, or coverage lb?? I have no idea because he is equally nasty in all aspects, so far he has been getting ray lewis comparisons... for his on the field play, lol.
Greedy Williams is a total shut down cb, not really a big hitter but he is willing to support the run, as for his coverage skills he could go 1 on 1 with the best of them and he has since he got to LSU. Great ball skills, great man coverage, great zone coverage, dude would step in day 1 and be our top cb

I dont understand why Marquise Brown keeps being projected 4th or 5th round. He is going no later than mid 2nd round, and has a good shot at being a 1st rounder and rightfully so IMO. I've been watching him in Oklahoma games and the kid can ball like his cousin Antonio Brown. He is a special player.

Much easier to scout pros There has not been one good move from free agency to drafting DG has made (BJ Hill aside), Yes, BJ Hill was drafted, and I gave my draft grades on him the other board. I suggested the Barkley pick a C because we needed a QB, and that pick should of been Allen, Darnold or Rosen. I gave the Will pick a B because Shurmur runs zone blocking, and big Will is more a power blocker than a Wynn was. He nailed his 2 third rounders, gave them A grades. Picking which free agent is the correct fit is never the proper way to build a team....at best, fitting a few missing pieces and not overpaying. Once a player goes for the biggest dollars, it be very rare to trust his work ethic in the upcoming years...the Haynsworth Redskin dilemma as I call it. I am very surprised we did not trade more assets at the time teams would pay the most. Not one good move in the Draft? I wanted a QB but Saquan is a success. Will Hernandez is a homerun for round two. Lorenzo Carter and BJ Hill are starters and Kyle Lauletta might be the QB of the future. Dude... Wynn is out for his rookie season with a torn ACL and all the QB's drafted don't look like can't miss guys. Darnold is having INT issues, Rosen is running scared and has no team around him....same with Allen. DG did great in the draft. Giving Solder, Stewart and Omameh all that money is the issue. Trading Snacks for peanuts is an issue. but not the draft

Will Hernandez is a still a B grade....and it seems Shurmur is getting Barkley to finally head between the tackles where Will is more effective. Yes, Wynn is out...lol, do actually follow the sport fairly closely. That has no effect on the point...style of blocking on a Pat offense. Will is still a long way from a home run, but still the correct pick, a nice blocker for a rookie, and a B grade I gave it. Barkley should of been the QB pick, no matter what is happening in the first half of their rookie seasons, as that is far too early for a QB to be pro bowl bound and grade out...there is no doubt in my mind...apologize you can't change it, and he can be as good as he has been (Barkley)....great player, but wrong pick. Carter I gave an A as well...because of where he was picked and the talent. Kyle...weak armed QB's have a tough time in Jersey...the chances of him being the QB of the future is a pipe dream. SUPER LB and CB heavy in this one, got 3 coverage specialists at LB who can also blitz and attack the run in addition to my 2 favorite CBs in the draft. Id take this draft if we sign a free agent RT like Darryl Williams or Rob Havenstein
More I think of it, if we dont sign a fa RT, Im leaning towards Jonah Williams as our 1st round pick he could play RT or OG from Day 1
