That LT sucked, but good on Azeez for taking advantage. If you watched it was pure speed rushes and he ran right around him. It was like watching Solder play for both teams.

In only 7 Games he already has more Sacks than Oshane Ximines has in his entire career so far and is only 4 Sacks away from Lorenzo Carter Career Sack Total

Also Seems Quincy Roche was making some plays as well Many of us thought he was a bit of a steal as a waiver wire pick up Much better setting the edge against the run... Yeah I thought he had a really nice game too. Pleasant surprise. Loved what he coaching staff did too, on both sides

Like McKinney at linebacker. Hope we get to see him play more. Could make Martinez loss less painful. Far better than Ragland.
Seems like Judge avoids talking to Garrett. Wonder why?

He's been pretty good so far. If he keeps it up for the season, will be a very nice rookie year. We're playing a shaky Chiefs team next week, lets see if he can make his presence known.

Do that for an entire season lolz...would be the greatest defensive season in NFL history by like 3x. As always, the truth is in the middle of these two extremes. He's having a really solid rookie campaign especially as a 2nd rounder and that game was great. But our pressure rate as a defense has been poor and so hopefully this is the start of affecting games a little more as a unit. Oh c’mon now, you know I didn’t mean do THAT the entire season, just keep up a high level of play and continue with sacks, pressures, and tackles. Yes just keep bringing it, they'll get home some. We just need that constant motor and hunger.

It was interesting how they washed out carter to the inside and ran for a 1st where he should've been. They bring in Roche after that and he stuffs it for a 2 yard loss.

The exact play I was referring to (the Roche stuff) He is fundamentally sound in the running game, watched him a lot last year as the U is my team His upside is Olivier Vernon overall,a very good overall player that is really good at the dirty work but probably not going to put up pass rush numbers Which is fine for us on early downs so that we aren't always in a 2nd and 5 or less like it always seems,or on short yardage plays where we get gashed regularly it seems

We will see if that means xman is out..

It was against a rookie LT but your point is well made, can’t remember an edge rusher with numbers like that in awhile. Hope this helps his confidence more than anything. To be fair, he is also a rookie

I like your OV comparison, he isn't really 'bendy' enough to be an ideal pass rushing 3-4 OLB, but if he can develop into a run stopping, edge setter, who can occasionally rush the passer, then I will be THRILLED. He is going to be forced to overcome his physical short comings with his motor, and technical prowess. That's what we have been trying to do with Zo Carter and Ximines, but with no luck.

If Roche develops he will be that annoying guy to opposing offenses that get close enough to a passer to effect a play positively for the defense Whether making the qb move into a bad situation, hurried pass,ect.. Just like Vernon Pressures can lead to someone else cleaning up,or bad passes

What is considered a standard 3rd round pick? If someone is a bust, it means they didn't live up to their draft potential. What is that for a 3rd rounder? A star? A serviceable starter? A good backup?

I'd say that's asking too much, he overperformed his 3rd round pick potential, in my opinion.

Also Seems Quincy Roche was making some plays as well Many of us thought he was a bit of a steal as a waiver wire pick up Much better setting the edge against the run... I was thinking about this the other day in a conversation with my son about Carl Banks. Setting the edge seems pretty elementary yet this team has struggled to find anyone who can execute. With Banks it looked so easy and natural for him. He basically told teams, "don't run my way because you're not getting outside and #56 is in hot pursuit." Any one here play DE? Is it that complicated to shirk inside responsibility and just close off the outside?

Just read he took 67% of the defensive snaps, his most so far by a wide margin. Roche and McKinney also got more snaps and we played more 3-4 than any other game this season. I expect Ojulari's snaps to keep increasing, he is doing a great job.
