I just have a feeling that the win would do more harm than good in the long run and hurt or draft position. Or even worse, convince Mara that big changes won't be needed. I hope I'm not being too negative. take all the wins you can imo. If picking high was a once in a while opportunity i would agree yet change would be nice considering how often they pick high. Just win

Sam Darnold would overthrow Superman.

A little of both. Another edge players seems him and Williams feed off of each other they need another Edge that can chip in some sacks and take some attention. He needs to help himself he can develop more Pass rush moves he needs an arsenal to compete with the best, he was a bit limited coming in with the long arm think that was his go to it seems he is pretty good with it maybe developed a push pull off of that. I feel if they play Roche more he will help enough by setting the edge and get Carter/xman out of there because they are getting pushed around too much but they do make up for it by missing tackles.. Roche snaps have been going up like the way he plays he can develop into a nice piece think X is done here unless he come in healthy and makes the team Carter will go else where and probably be inside and out like he was in college more LB then odd man front edge rusher

Jones is Jones If/when he establishes himself as our long term franchise guy and hopefully is part of a long term winning window he will be himself. Let him be unique (a more accurate Eli witb wheels, which is unique) his style of play is nothing like Eli. That comparison needs to stop all together. The only thing Eli like is how he does his pressers I not 100% sold on Jones yet but it does look like he is feeling the pressure better this year and getting rid of the ball when he needs to. He has good accuracy and wheels. The guy was almost doing it all by himself offensively yesterday. No run game, defenders in the backfield in under 2 seconds, screens getting smothered in the backfield, practice squad players surrounding him. Can the Giants even be categorized as an NFL team at this point? Jones was scary bad the week before but it's not like Eli didn't have his head scratching games even when he was winning Superbowls. I'm not saying Jones will ever win one but if he keeps playing like he has been this season, the new GM will probably keep him unless he has a QB that he absolutely loves in the draft...

Even though the Giants' season is basically over, I still enjoyed the win since they're so rare these days. I'm still saying that this is a very poorly coached team. The Giants should have won that game by 30+ points but freaking penalties kept pushing them back. Also, they are dead last in the entire league in the red zone. There should be a thread dedicated to this topic. Jones rolling out to his right with 1 WR being blanketed by 3 defenders and 2 defenders in his face tells me that they aren't fooling anyone. In the past, Jones would have turned that over but at least he threw it away...

I hope I'm not being too negative. Hard to argue with this but there will be some that talk about what a great moral victory that was for us, like those have really helped us over the last 10 years. What I saw was a a couple nice things to take away from the Giants but overall an ugly game between two horrendous teams in which one team had to win. I’m sure we’ll pick up a few more wins along the way but until we start competing with good teams consistently I’ll remain unimpressed. Reminds me of last year when the majority of our 6 wins came against back up QB’s and fans were talking about how much we improved from our 5 win season the year before, that was fools gold, just like us beating a few scrub teams here and there proves nothing other than we’re not the worst team in the league over the past 3 seasons anymore, great we’re only the 2nd worst now. Time to break out the champagne! Sorry for feeding the troll guys and gals but he has a valid point no matter what the motive is.

They were 3-3 so something was working Yeah, their schedule. Their 3 wins came against 3 of the 4 worst offenses in the league. We beat the Saints just like they did and I’m relatively confident we would also beat the Jets and Texans just like they did. If they had our schedule they would have one win as well, the ‘Aints.

His story is not over yet in any regard....good or bad. IMO last week his head was still not right.

I'm happy we took a shot on Roche, he was pretty productive getting in the backfield in college, and we can't have too many pass rushers. Not really an ideal 3-4 OLB, but he has been pretty good so far. Carters only shot at remaining a Giant is if he moves to the inside, I'm not so sure about Ximines, I don't see where he fits. Maybe his best path is as a depth player coming off the bench

His play was very different than it was over the previous dozen games. Could've been the competition, could've been the concussion or it just could've been a bad game. Yesterday he looked better. Could've been the competition, could've been the fog lifting or it just could've been a good game. To me, he's their guy. They just need to fill in the blanks on the Oline and for him to get his skill players back from injury.

You predict we lose the game, then complain when we don't. I'm worried because random wins like these can be used to justify that big changes are not needed. If they turn things around and they go on a run to make the playoffs, then fine. But I know that is not happening.

Mara will clean house at the end of the season. But I'm still going to enjoy this win since we don't know when they'll get another one.

So basically the entire team lol.
