1) That’s what fanatics do, over analyze 2) Some fans want whats best for the team which is always winning 3) I could make a similar argument that you’re not a real fan because you want us to win a meaningless game against a horrible team that could and would have overall negative effects on the future of the team 4) Calling other fans not true fans because they don’t have the same theory of winning as you do is BS. I wouldn’t call you out for not being a real fan because you would hypothetically want us to beat Jacksonville in the last game of the season and cost us the number one draft pick and cause Mara not to make any much needed and obvious changes 5) Why wait a whole season? Most of us have been waiting a decade or longer, enough is enough at some point. Maybe if they gave us a reason to be more positive and optimistic then we would be. The FO and players have let the fans down, not the other way around. 6) It’s hardly lamenting if it’s speaking the truth I honestly couldn't care less about another fan's approval of my fandom. IMO, a fan that critical of the team for valid reasons is just as much as a blind homer who makes hype videos or thinks that everything is going to be alright. Each side is investing a lot of time and emotion into the team. I hear ya but I think it’s still insulting to call out another fan because what they believe what’s best for the team doesn’t align with your own beliefs. We all want whats best for the Giants, we just have different opinions of how to get there. If losing our final game of the season means drastic changes instead of the “same ‘ole” and Mara preaching progress. Then guess what? I’m hoping we lose. It’s unfortunate if that’s what it takes but I believe drastic changes are more important than a meaningless win. None of this is set in stone, just a somewhat hypothetical scenario but I don’t think it’s that far off base. Another one would be if there was a high likelihood at a highly rated QB (if Jones isn’t the answer and we have no chance of the playoffs after next season) if we lost our last game then guess what? I’m hoping we lose that final game. As I said, I could call put others “fandom” for not wanting what’s best for the team in those two scenarios which clearly wouldn’t be winning that last meaningless game. That’s something I will ever understand.

Looking forward to finally see Elerson Smith. We need any pass rush help we can get. I'm not expecting much to be honest and it's not a knock on him as a player but all the rust and not playing football for nearly 2 years ... Let him get his feet wet on special teams He got a quick first step from what I remember. He should be on the the field during third and long. Don't think he has the strength to play all 3 downs.

I think it's only normal to be ambivalent as a fan. With a league is structured to benefit the worst teams the most; we can appreciate the benefit of being in the lowest tier of teams because it offers us the better position to add new players.
But as a fan, there's also the emotional aspect to winning whenever your team takes the field. I just can never root for the Giants to lose.

I have never rooted for the giants to lose for draft position, but man am I finally about close. I'm sick of rooting for meaningless wins after all these years, that said - I'm not completely there yet.
LETS GO GIANTS!

I get it, I understand both sides so I won’t argue with anyone or call them out for being a fan. Obviously for me, in scenarios like the ones I gave above or like our end of the year win over Washington that potentially cost us Young, I don’t mind hoping we lose because I feel there’s more value for the future of the team with that loss than a meaningless win. Like I said, I get both sides, to each their own.

I can only imagine what nonsensical jargon I'll spew today, probably like the nonsensical jargon I spew on a regular basis, LOL

Especially since everyone knew they'd dominate defensively after spending the last 4 years fortifying their Dline with 1st round picks.
Here we are half way through the season and WFT has given up more points defensively than us. That's hard to fathom.

Here's my new gameday plan...have my snacks and my lunch, phones on mute and I am ready to go.
Meanwhile, outside, I have my compressor and 2 nail guns out...I will turn off an unwatchable product and be productive.
Thanks John.
