Skip said Jason's nickname is 8-8. in that case Joe Judge's nickname is 6-10 and it's not like Freddie Kitchens has an amazing resume.
I find it hard to believe that the offensive line will stop getting pancaked (outside of Thomas who has been decent) because there is a new OC...I don't think there will be that much change.

This article takes one of my issues with Judge off the table, ie why didn't he fire Garrett last season?
All roads lead back to our CEO, our Chief Enthusiast.
Praying for a real Chief Executive.

staff makeup should always be up to the head coach. Any other scenario leads to dissention. This is probably why our team never seems to be prepared. Head Coach and OC were never on the same page. Hopefully Freddy gets our playmakers involved a bit better.

There were reports about 'tension' between Judge and Garrett last year. Ranaan re-iterated it this off season when he said players told him there were issues between the two. This is a Joe Judge problem. Fans will blame ownership, but if you're the head coach you decide who your OC is. I thought Garrett would be fired 100% last year. I don't believe buy for a minute he didn't have that authority. It’s the last ditch effort of a desperate man. He was quick to drop the hammer on Columbo.. with the help of being called a **** sucker. Which looking back, Columbo wasn’t that far off. A whole offseason to make the move, and he balks. Judge has shown to move fast on an assistant if he feels it’s best for the team. And yet, he sat on his thumbs with Garrett.

Hopefully Freddy gets our playmakers involved a bit better. There are a few good explanations as to why this team seems so lost and yours is one of them. Imagine that we have more coaches, special assistants, data analysts, strength and conditioning guys than just about any NFL team and what does it deliver??

He was removed from the building after verbally and physically attacking Judge. Which makes you wonder how it got to that point? If Colombo didn't go ballistic that day, he might've continued on as a member of the staff, which is insane and tells you how ineffective Judge is at making important decisions.

I find it highly unlikely Columbo attacked Judge. He would need an elephant gun to take Mark down. I agree though, if not for being roasted on an open flame, would Judge kept Mark along if he played ball with the musical chair routine? It points in the direction of yes.

I fine with everything you said. I'm pretty sure almost none of us have any love for DG (He is 100% gone) and Judge (I can't see a path for his return). when Gettleman goes after this season is over Judge should follow him out the door because he is extremely over rated and has shown nothing since he got here. He hasn't shown anything, you are correct. Also, what new GM would want to be saddled by a losing coach? Special teams coordinators don't usually make this type of jump for this reason, not ready.

Shlearwth just said Jones was limited with audibles at the line and he will have more autonomy...
Just as I suspected

Was just about to post this. If this is true, then it was a bad decision by Judge to keep him this year. If ownership/FO prevented the firing from happening earlier, then it just shows how broken this franchise is. I have to believe he was kept to give DJ some continuity. If they didn't keep him it would have been 3 different systems in 3 years. With hindsight, it didn't help.

Hindsight could have elevated Kitchens last year Same system Different playcalling

Hindsight could have elevated Kitchens last year Same system Different playcalling It only happens if JM says so. Or if we look like the island of misfit toys on offense on national TV after a bye week and your HC passively aggressively puts the blame on the chosen one ..
