......and ruffled a bunch of feathers here.
Does anyone remember me questioning why in God's name would the Giants re-sign Solder?
I said that I questioned whether he had the heart to compete any longer after a rotten season with us and sitting out another during COVID.
It wasn't a personal shot at him, just saying that he has enough $$ and the health of his son being a priority, would he have the will to prepare his body and fight in the trenches like the NFL demands.
I think I am vindicated.

No feathers ruffled here He looks like a guy mailing it in
That end around all he had to do was get in the way and Slayton has an easy 10

He's done we are not re-signing him. The man playes defeated. He lost the killer instinct. I mean at least get a personal foul once on while to show you have a pair.

Does anyone remember me questioning why in God's name would the Giants re-sign Solder? They didn't re-sign him, they restructured his contract to reduce his cap hit significantly. That part was good. But, he was supposed to be a backup, why he's starting is a mystery.

Why does he play? Why does this useless pos even get 5 minutes a game? There is absolutely no way he gives you more then Peart could. No way.

Judge was the guy who said he did not believe in a guy making the team for solely locker room purposes. Yet not only did Solder make the team but is starting over Peart a player that was DRAFTED WHEN JUDGE WAS COACH. Did Judge only have a big influence on the last 2 drafts (as many on here have floated as a fact) on players that are any good? Obviously any draft busts the last 2 years are on Getty. As Mel Brooks once said "its good to be the King (or in this case the Judge)

One of the worst signings this team ever had. Maybe the worst when considering he was the highest paid OL in the history of the NFL for a hot minute.

When the Pats let a guy walk, it’s usually the right decision Like Brady? The Pats just became the #1 seed in the AFC at 8-4 with a rookie QB making a fraction of what Brady is making. Eh. Obviously keeping Brady would have been ideal but they aren't hurting without him at all. Maybe this IS the next Brady. The strategy of BB is to always let a guy leave a year or 2 too early than a year or 2 too late and they have mastered it. Meanwhile we kept Eli 4-5 years too late.

Yup and I’d hardly say they “let Brady walk”. Brady left because he wanted to, he wasn’t staying no matter what.

I think I am vindicated. Think the Idea was for him to be the swing tackle really they just gave him a massive pay cut to do that. The question is how did Peart end up locked in the dog house and Solder a full-time tackle.,

Yes. Pats: 8-4 with Mac Jones. Currently #2 seed in AFC. Paying Mac Jones $2.8M Bucs: 8-3 with Tom Brady. Currently #3 seed in NFC. Paying Brady $50M guaranteed. Man he served that one up real easy almost like it's his purpose to be wrong!!

I think I am vindicated. Right there with you on those thoughts. His feet were so slow at the end of 2019. He couldn't contain and he moved no one on running plays. I could only see him getting worse during his Covid hiatus.... and he did.

Pretty much every decision made with this OL has been wrong or arguably wrong.
Solder was a perfect example of passed time to cut your losses. He should have been cut or benched.

I have given Nate a lot of grief but earlier in his career he was a solid linemen. He would not have played for years in NE if he was not. Now he looks like he dropped a lot of weight. He looks like a tall TE not a lineman in my opinion. In fact he looks thin even for a TE. I think he was brought back as depth. I do not think he planned to be a starter.

Brilliant. Dont blame me. I did not sign him. Just meant that he was meant to be a backup this season not when he was originally signed.

The statement was, "When the Pats let a guy walk, it’s usually the right decision".... Since leaving NE, Brady has arguably been the best QB in football and is the favorite to win a second straight Superbowl with TB. My response was tongue in cheek, and generally I agree with you on this, but in hindsight they sure as shit didn't master that one decision.

Not saying it wasn't time for NE and him to part...but he went and won a Superbowl, it wasn't some example of the Pats being smarter than everyone else.

Yeah they let Brady go and he won one He might get one more with that team then poof, bucs are back to being irrelevant for the next 15 years agai while the Patriots are in dynasty 2.0
