Ok. We are on coach #4 since 2016 so at some point we might want to realize better play calling or coaching doesn't work without better players. true....of course. the players are the main issue. That has to be the priority. . . . i think we're in real trouble for next season. Already they're going to have to restructure contracts . . . again. What about QB? Jones? Ahh, crazy want to offer a Barkley for Tua? Teddy Bridgewater? Kerry Collins? Idk

It is not really good news because the guy replacing them is not equipped to know what he needs in those positions nor where to find them.
Change for no good is...........no good.

BREAKING NEWS!! - ESPN Adam Schefter - The New York Giants announced early this evening the firing of Dave Gettleman and Joe Judge. John Mara's comments were that he is taking over the GM and head coaching responsibilities. When asked why such a bold move in the middle of the season Mr. Mara replied "if you want something done right you've got to do it yourself". He also was reported as saying "don't let a boy do a man's job referring to Joe Judge". The Giants record currently is 4 wins 8 losses much improved from this time last year. Much of the media is confused by this move but then again they were confused by Daniel Jones and his sprained neck a week ago.

That’s the personnel department job not mine. Find whoever and pay them handsomely. No more experiments. Yet we the fans are the ones calling for change , correct ? To me unless we can come up with something better (the fans) then we need to trust the Giants "personnel department" whomever that might be .

Nope. Not me. Only interested in proven head coaches and coordinators. Football minds that have the ability to fix what is broken. No more wannabe bullshit. Coughlin was a proven HC and was fired, McAdonothing and Shurmur both OC ...how did that work out ? Coughlin also has 2 sb rings lol. Coaches wear out their welcome sometimes. It happens. Side note I still think he got fired a year too soon. Would of loved to seen him coach that 2016 team with that defense and the Coughlin/macdoo combined offense not the full macdoo offense. That team would of had a shot of a deep playoff run.

Gettleman and Judge are gone next year! The fact that we consider a 5th HC in 6 years “good news” shows how broken this is. I’m not advocating for Judge, changing coaches every 36 games is a worst case scenario. And the fact that fans are looking forward to it is part of the problem. We should be screaming that the coach and GM doesn’t matter as long as a family with a horrible track record of picking coaches and GMs is still making those decisions. The fact that fans give Mara a pass boils me. Garrett was fired because of how upset the fan base is. Apply the same principle to ownership and they just “may” step back. We have a better chance of that then Mara picking a winner. B leadership picks C talent. That equation is on display and nobody sees it.

Firing Judge would mean getting rid of or promoting Patrick Graham. 1. Not sure if he's ready, but I would love to see a coaching combo of Eric Bienemy as OC and Graham as DC. 1) Why would he come to the Giants for the same position he has with KC ? He wouldn’t come here for all the tea in china

You know I think I would like to see that also. Bienemy would have to be the HC. Otherwise he doesn't leave K.C. Hell we don't even get an interview, not allowed to I think. Even if Bienemy isn't a good HC it's no worse than Judge, Judge doesn't know what he is doing so we can only improve. And Bienemy can at least install an offense.

the coaches on this team aint so great either. More the players and roster but its a shared failure Ok. God help me, I have come to believe that Judge is going to get another year. If for no other reason that Mara wanting to save face and pretend he got some decision right.

Philosophically, I tend to agree, but the product on the field has been poor enough to really think otherwise.

I can't think of a single football reason to keep Judge, but I am certain Mara is staying up nights coming up with some reason.

I've already said it in another thread, but DG will be gone and the new GM will agree to give JJ one more year.
I really don't think they will promote from within, but whoever they hire will have to agree to keep JJ for 2022.

Why would any potential coach want to be with the Giants and there horrible system? It's a place where losses pile up.

DG will likely be forced to Resign but Judge I think gets 1 more season but when Judge is saying stuff like "I Seen Positives" and "Nate Solder Is Progressing At Right Tackle" I really have to question WTF is he seeing honestly or is he just covering for a Friend and a guy he has Respect from their Patriots Days. He is showing he is a players Coach. Just becuase he says stuff you disagree with or the talking heads jump on doesn't mean he doesn't see what we see. He is a players Coach , he will not shoot down his own team in public .Like it or not you have to respect him for that .
