He actually speaks about sports, gave good interviews and had knowledgeable guests. He was a pompos ass but at least he wasn't a wannabe comedy routine that is Carton and Robert's. 9 out of 10 members of this board know more about football than that ****ing guy.... i like Francessa; I wish he was still doing radio lost his fastball but still throws harder than the competition . . . many of which are unlistenable. Numbah One!

Francesca has been an idiot at times. But he's right that JJ was a babbling idiot post game this week. Just MO. He actually speaks about sports, gave good interviews and had knowledgeable guests. He was a pompos ass but at least he wasn't a wannabe comedy routine that is Carton and Robert's. 9 out of 10 members of this board know more about football than that ****ing guy.... As much as Francesa could be wrong, he was also right many times. He was totally a blowhard. But I think that's his schtick And it was his schtick for a reason; it made for fantastic radio. A Mike Francesa show was some of the best comedy I've ever experienced, between him and his guests. Come on, those shouting matches were gold ššš And of course him and mad dog had similar moments all the time. That was GREAT radio..not that boring shit they have on there now. Carton and Robert aren't horrible but they don't fill that void. One thing Francesa was right about was rebuilding the Giants when they got rid of Coughlin. And he also thought Mac was a bad hire. I think people dislike him because of his radio personality and the fact that despite his rudeness he actually knows more than they do about sports (and I'm most certainly NOT calling Francesa a sports genius lol).

Instead of going after the source with vigor. Is Francess wrong? Or is it , he actually has the balls to say it. Has one thing Judge said come to fuition? I am about old school physical mentality. We are going to put a product on the field the people of this city will be proud of. We'll play fast downhill. We will play aggressive. We'll punch you in the nose for 60 minutes. We'll play every play as if history is being made on its own with a relentless competitive attitude. We will play fundamentally sound. We will not beat ourselves. That is our mission. Has he made good on one thing he said in the first 3 minutes of his initial press conference? Not one thing he said he made good on. That is the deffination of a babbling fool. The defense has played aggressive downhill football aside from those Perry Fewell games Graham had..but that's about it lol

Letting Thomlinson and Kevin Zeitler go put this team back a few steps. First rule of team building . Don't let your foundation players go. But we did get Golliday and Jackson.

He got Pat Shurmur to hang up and cry to the Giants.Ā Yeah. And everything Mike said was true. Shurmur was doing (at that point) the stupidest most vanilla things I'd ever seen an OC do. UNTIL Garrett. Who at least ran the football to the outside every once in a while and ran some nice power runs (when he didn't neglect the run entirely). BUT he had the worst route concepts I'd ever seen. No presnap motion. Totally lost, worst than Pat. Who wants an interview with softball questions and no realism?

Was the best and when he on, he was great. 9/11, killing the Jets, the George Young interviews, etc. If he knew a topic or was the superior he would often dominate the interview imo, yet if he was the subordinate and had to dig he was the very best imo.

Letting Thomlinson and Z I disagree. The scheme and the talent play off each other. That's why the d gave up a ton of points early on with a lot of the same players. Graham openly stated in interviews/conferences that he changed his defense. He changed to a lot of soft man and vanilla cover 2. Vanilla alignments as well. Meaning very traditional approaches. Since he changed back (saints game, was it?) and started playing more zone blitz, invert zone, press coverage, exotic alignments, moving players around etc...the defense has played much tougher. They were very read and react, very slow at the beginning of the season. Not downhill at all. I mean even still, the run defense struggles. And they do get penalities as you said. But I do disagree with a lot of calls by the refs, so for me I care more about their struggles against the run. But they they've been playing really strong, not giving up many points

i like Francessa; I wish he was still doing radio Looks like you and I are the only ones.. I always enjoyed Mike and Dog also liked Mike on his own for all those years. Yes he was pompous and talked over every guest he ever had but I enjoyed his opinions and the way he conducted his show. He never tried to be a dog and pony show like the mid day show now and never needed 15 people rambling on about nonsense with hip catch phrases to try desperately try to attach a younger audience. He was just straight up sports talk radio (with the occasional movie tangent) He helped create the medium. Sure he talked about golf, horse racing and baseball WAY too much but he was a true pioneer or the platform and I enjoyed it. He is also dead on about Judge The guy is a bucket of cliche with zero substance

It works against most QB and we can stay in the game., It does not against playoff caliber teams. Brady , Dak, and Stafford ripped that scheme apart. It will happen next week against the Chargers

i like Francessa; I wish he was still doing radio Looks like you and I are the only ones.. I liked him 100X better that the current show. That crap is driving me to get satellite radio. I don't want to here Craig Carton talk about football, the guy is WORSE than a talking head. At least those guys bother to read the box score. The guy can be entertaining but has very little knowledge about football...

Not a fan of Francesa at all only because he talks down to so many people like he is king shit. Can be a total doosh. When he isnt being a jerk off he is very good.
with that said Judge has shown himself to be a babbling fool at this point in time.
I still hold out hope for him.......but the confidence meter is maybe 4 out of 10. Maybe less

if anybody cares to look back at some of my earlier post on Judge you will see that I said right from the start that he seems to be able to " talk the talk" but that as far as it goes. Right now my only thoughts are do the owners have the balls to do whats necessary for the good of the team by replacing Judge after this mess is over...

There was a time a fan asked have the NY Giants and the San Francisco Giants ever got together for dinner? Let me repeat that.. a person took the time to call up a talk show host, and ask if two franchises who bear the same name ever got together for dinner? Instead like these other morons who entertain these callers, Mike squashes them.. Or another time a Jets beat reporter went on. And it was clear this guy was not prepared. So, like an ignorant fool he begins making things up and pretending itās facts. The thing about Mike, if you donāt know your shit. He will embarrass you.. It got to a point where the Jet reporter hung up and was never heard from again. Mike was never afraid to ask the tough questions that no one would ask. And letās be real.. there are some clowns in this business. You think Mike is a hard listen? Listen to Bart Scott, or Stephen A. Smith. And if you really want to test your patience. Anyone from ESPN. not a fan of some of his 'bluster' but I actually agree with a lot of what that guy says. Theres no defending judge and his presser this past game, its officially becoming a clown show, and im a guy thats rooted pretty hard for him up until recently. judge really needs to come clean with himself and the fans, the whole organization if hes going to survive.
hes young into his career, but he needs a coughlin-like change, where he adjusts how he handles himself. this b.s. is not gonna fly

Carton knows less than your average fan about football and Roberts is a nerd who is always whining about his team sucking. At least Mike was neutral about teams and knowledgeable. The new program is more of a sideshow at a carnival....
