If Kitchens is our offensive coordinator next year then Judge doesn't make it through the season. Judge has to see that. Who does he bring in? Is there anyone with a proven track record willing to come work for a 30 year old or does he need to go fishing in the college ranks again. I think an OC hire is more critical than anything else for him. Draft picks will not have immediate impact like a complete system reset on offense. We need to get this right.

Why wouldn't Kitchens fill the spot?
I don't see why a veteran coordinator would want to jump on this sinking ship. Anyone respectable probably noticed how Shurmur and Garrett were treated and want no part of this organization so now we're stuck with Cleveland Brown rejects or no-names.

Kitchens offense has been an utter disaster since he took over. Granted, half the offense is hurt or on IR. However, Judge jettisoned Garrett to give this guy the reins? Garrett may have been unimaginative and bland with his play calling. But, Kitchens flat out sucks. Calls two trick plays on the same series. You would think he was trying to get fired..

This offense is so screwed up with injuries and lack of talent, not sure it matters who is calling plays.

The Kitchens complaints are entertaining considering he has been guessing who his QB , RB and Receivers for each game will be ?

I'm not a fan of Kitchen''s play calling, from what I see now. And it's not just practice squad players not executing a play well enough. The play calls itself sucked. You would think someone coming in to replace Garrett would want to show a little imagination and freshness. This O is as conservative and predicable, as always. Seems like we're in a cursed state of people becoming inept when they hitch their wagon to Met Life and the Jets and the Giants. I'd love to see some research done to corroborate my feeling that our field has more injuries than others. The stadium itself was a big let down. The franchise is in a funk, and John Mara shows us no excitement moving forward.

Well since Joe Judges philosophy is built in to every system and scheme our team employs I would say it won’t matter too much.
The guy is ultra conservative and a horrible situational manager. The play cards (situational calls etc) are most likely constructed in a completely idiotic way and give the OC dumb options to deal with what they are facing.
As long as he is the HC, I don’t care and it won’t matter.

I really, really want Ken Dorsey from Buffalo as the next Offensive coordinator. Every QB he’s coached has had career years under him including Josh Allen and Cam Newton. Giants have more offensive talent than Buffalo so should be able to maximize the weapons here

Sure why not on the OC though. He seems pretty capable. I’m guessing it’ll be the Dolphins wr coach or something like that.

Now that they wear a wrist cheat sheet I honesty don't know , are they aloud to audible at the line?

He was a fan of Jones and wanted to take him till Snyder stepped in to take Haskins.

But that looked like a designed play, doing exactly what most of us have been saying must be removed (for this time) from the playbook for Jones. Even if the OC didn't call it, he is responsible for drilling it into the QB's head to refrain.

When you take over a "restaurant in the middle of a Saturday night you don't change the menu" . Meaning he isn't coming in and change everything in the middle of the season . It's the same Offense ,it has to be .

Neither did the OL coach he fired (forgot the name).

In the NFL shit rolls uphill to whoever is running the operation and since the Giant owner seems to be calling the shots you don't have to look far to find the problem..

I'd prefer a re-implementation of an Andy Reid west coast system like we had under Shurmur, especially if we're still evaluating DJ over the next year.
That's got no chance of happening though. Not really Judge's offensive philosophy.

I was listening to a interview with a Cleveland receiver for the life of me I can't remember who. But he said Kitchens was respected and very much liked. But it just didn't work. The players wanted it to work it just didn't. So with that said it looks like we get a guy that everyone will play hard for but apparently has no confidence in. Is this an improvement ? And he probably wants the job. If Kitchens scores 20 pts plus a game does that get him the job ? At this point there's not even another option. And this is our 3rd decision after GM and HC.

Things have to go right or else yes it definitely comes up as an excuse (warranted or not). Everyone respects a winner but we're not winning so he is not going to get that respect right off the bat from a new guy coming in with 20 years more experience than him. Did Garrett give him a chance? Sure he did. But when things started going south, you know he started questioning whether or not Judge was better at the job than he was.
