I think Jmike is a very thoughtful poster so I chose to ignore her comment about Cam Newton. I attribute it to some kind of mental incident that has since passed. lol JMike is a good dude from what I remember. I would actually be surprised if Cam is in the league next year at this point. Billy B couldn't do anything with him and he couldn't out play Darnold in Carolina. Whats left?

Probably. But IDK. Still makes no sense to trade for Jimmy G. They could hire Jimmy's mother for GM and if she has any football sense even she wouldn't trade for him. QB and O line are the priorities right now. I can see a heavy focus on O line in the draft, plus one or two solid vets. I also think the QB position will also be dealt with in some way.....By trade or free agency, or maybe in the draft. But I don't see a strong QB class coming up this year. I think it has to by by acquisition of a vet QB. Maybe you're right. Maybe it'll be a good back up like Taylor or Dalton. Maybe it'll be a starter like Jimmy G or even Minshew. It really depends on how the future GM values any of these guys. Minschew would be an ideal stop gap for us, if he wasn;t under contract with the Iggles for next year. I don't think we'll do a deal with the devil...

LOL....I really didn't know about Cam; which is why I asked. I've heard mixed reports and I haven't really watched him much at all recently. LOL I was just being silly with that video JMike.

(Which I'm all for) Hey, I'm fine with that. Get him on a cheap, incentive laden deal to hold the position down for a season while the team is built? Go for it. Maybe they can coax Favre out of retirement? Let Eli get another season under his belt? Tebow might want another shot in the NFL. Namath might play for booze. Who knows. All of those would be better ideas than trading picks and cap space for Jimmy G.

Do you get compensatory picks if your release the guy? I don’t think so. No they have to leave in free agency. BUT if you're the Broncos, why wouldnt you send a 2nd rounder for him at the very least? Jimmy G makes sense for the Broncos.

In a moderately competent offense, he played well as an inexperienced rookie.

Right, it does. And if he thinks trading picks for Jimmy G to take up to much cap space and miss 6 games is valuable to the team. I hope the Giants have the sense to fire him before Jimmy G gets through airport security. Lets see how he does at Dallas this weekend. That was an impressive performance vs. the Rams. You've completely missed it. His game performance has nothing to do with what a terrible move it would be for the Giants.

It's cool. I was asking because I really can't keep track of everyone around the league. Seems it was an awful enough suggestion to deserve a bit of ridicule; and that is cool also.

No they have to leave in free agency. BUT if you're the Broncos, why wouldnt you send a 2nd rounder for him at the very least? Again: Because you can wait until he gets released. But again again: Garoppolo has a no trade clause. Why would he waive it? Because they drafted Trey Lance to replace him. From EVIL North Dakota State.

They made a trade with the Cowboys last draft Granted, but I think they would want a premium, when they got him at a bargin bin discount, and I'm not sure our ownership could stomach that.

Then you need to broaden your imagination. hmmmmm..... OK, how about this. We play our former first rounder at QB in 2022. K.Toney. Better idea than trading for Jimmy G. Signing Johnny Maziel, better idea than trading for Jimmy G. Getting Romo out of the booth, better idea than trading for Jimmy G. Giving Jemarcus Russell a shot, better idea than trading for Jimmy G. Having Fromm and Leweke alternate plays next season to save money on communication devises in helmets; better idea than trading for Jimmy G. Tearing down the stadium and playing at the local high school; better idea than trading for Jimmy G. Sorry man I'm really struggling here with coming up with a worse idea that won't leave someone dead. Which doesn't mean its a worse idea depending on the identity of the corpse.

I think they'll even give Jimmy G. #10 to wear. Take it right down from the ring of honor. (or whatever we call it) BTW...of all your "ideas" the only one I support is tearing down that piece of crap of a stadium.

Because they drafted Trey Lance to replace him. From EVIL North Dakota State. I ain't got no beef with ND State... but the fact about Lance gives Garoppolo all the power. Don't waive the no-trade clause, wait a day and get released. Hit the open market as an UFA and rake in $10sM more in guaranteed. They beat my Bobcats for the FCS championship last week. But our QB got hurt in the first series so it didn't count.
