On NFL channel Mara said the giants are not trading for Deshaun Watson. So does this eliminate Flores as HC ? Why didn't Schoen announce this ? More to come They're gonna build around Jones. Mara was asked. Was Schoen asked that question? With that said Mara should have deferred to Schoen to answer the media. Would have been a good gesture. |

I never thought that there was a real possibility that they would trade for Watson, but it's good that Mara threw cold water on the idea for those that wanted them to trade for Watson.
Watson has too much baggage and after the Josh Brown fiasco, I'm not shocked Mara wouldn't take the risk on Watson. With that said, Mara needs to let Schoen be the public face regarding personnel matters moving forward.
