I think his hip surgery was a bigger deal than they anticipated. now he had another procedure this offseason time to move on. he is on the team in 2022. I want him to ball out. 2023 is a long way off I would like that, there was some chatter that his flexibility is looks compromised, Hopefully not.

Maybe he was taking the "Allen Iverson" approach to practice....lol Who were they comparing his flexibility to? Film from him in 2020/19 or to Toney and Wan'Dale?

Please don't do that with KG.. The sooner he's off the team the better.. i feel ya but heck wish they could restructure simply to help the cap this year and not positively impact his future years if he were to be here......

I like Williams, think he is a very good player, but we way overpaid for him, and are paying a price. We never should have made that trade, could probably have signed him for much less had he just played out that year as a Jet. Not only is that water under the bridge, but that is also one of DG's better moves!!

Please don't do that with KG.. The sooner he's off the team the better.. as long as they dont add years etc. He cant still have a great season. No Glennon and Fromm this season either. so they'll pretty much be telling him to restructure to take a pay cut? Which is what his azzzzzz needs to do anyway

Of all the things to wish for with this team I would rank this one very low.. The player sucks now and is a waste of space on this team..

seems unlikely as the need to clear 6 or 7mil and make room for new contracts. KG will have to restructure and a few other I assume. we shall see looks like LW restructure will save 11+mil on the 2022 cap. I guess that will cover it all. Pay covered to bonus and a voidable year good so i guess we have some Mulah now to spend heheeee or just in case?

Guessing Williams is here next season despite a $32 million dollar cap hit. Appears the dead money is approx a $20 million so allocating $12 million in additions to the DL is break even at $32 million. Might as well keep him.

We now have over $5.1 mill in free cap. I wonder if Joe keeps that just in case of emergency or if he has somebody else in mind.

Not only is that water under the bridge, but that is also one of DG's better moves!! He got the going Rate if he didn't play for the Jets then the Giants he would have gotten a lot more credit. Dude plays every position in either front, has had 18.5 sacks the last 2 years from the inside ton of pressure and an annual top 10 to 5 run defender and always around the top with pressures with 2 teams that had 0 edge pressure through out his career here or with the Jets. Question is, would the money be better spent else where. To have a consistent guy who brings that to the table and never misses a start he was worth he money he got paid under the top couple guys where ehe belonged.

Loved him those first couple years but has been injured from day one it was different when he was putting up epic numbers in 12 or 13 games. Good luck OBJ he is better off with a contender maybe when completely healthy he will re-up with the Rams.

I don't think he will doing anything else to jeopardize the future cap it was set up pretty nicely from 2023 through 2025 I believe, I think he has tinkered to make it maybe even a little better till now.

With us not having a high paid QB for the foreseeable future I’d almost rather we rework Williams contract as a whole. Extend him a couple/few years and spread the money out a bit.
Williams seems to have plenty left in the tank and could be a good player to have around as a veteran presence during this youth movement we’re apparently on.

He's overpaid but he's one of the best players on the team. Took us from the league worst defense to somewhat respectable when we brought him here. Plays every game. Had a down year last season, so he needs to come out blazing this season. You picture him on a defense with an edge rush? I have a good feeling about the front 7.

He had 6.5 sacks from the DT position and a bunch of pressures down from previous years but excellent from the inside none the less. he makes more then the guys that are right below him and not half as versatile and makes less then Chris Jones and types, hate to say it see guy who can play every position in either odd or even front and be productive at them is worth the money.

$32M cap hit for Williams next year I remember saying what an excellent deal this was from Williams, and not for the Giants. Nice to have all the leverage on a clueless GM.
