Similar opponent ya think? I think Caro's D is pretty good but the running style ofcourse is different but we know McCafferey is explosive. Not sure I'd be scared of them tbh. I think if we can play our game and not beat ourselves we definitely have a great shot at being 2-0.
Baker vs Tanniehiel I'd probably give Baker a slight nod but and honestly I wasn't that afraid of TN but more afraid of us shooting our own damn selves in the foot.
Great way to pull it out G men!!!

I know a lot were still on the game thread after the game but what are your thoughts?

Matt Rhule in an idiot. More often than not. He will find a way to lose.
He has consistently won only 5 games in all 3 of is NFL seasons. With Baker and McCaffery at home. He could not game plan to beat Jacoby Brissett.
This is a winnable game.

We shouldn’t downplay any opponent.
Our LB’s got torched in coverage by RB’s yesterday and we have McCaffrey coming in now

The Panthers are a team more like the NYGs trying to get good and build something

Hopfully we have Thibs and Ojulari back next week. I thought the D played with a lot of heart yesterday, and those 2 should be a really nice boost.

We shouldn’t downplay any opponent. Our LB’s got torched in coverage by RB’s yesterday and we have McCaffrey coming in now true true and back to the drawing board in that department as well as others. Great win and much needed but it's on to the studies and learning, breaking down/correcting what you didn't do and keep doing what you did well

We need to win and win decisely, beat a ( not that they are less inferior than us right now) though we might be slightly better than them, but we need to grab a victory and punish them and keep building

We shouldn’t downplay any opponent. Our LB’s got torched in coverage by RB’s yesterday and we have McCaffrey coming in now 100% correct. This team pulled a horse shoe out of their ass and won a game that more often than not would go the other way. There is a long way to go and although the Oline settled down a bit, they didn't look good.

The fought through some bad mistakes in all three phases and actually got pressure on the failed FG by Bullock. Those kicks are usually made so yes that was a true NFL "break" but I disagree with the horeshoe out of their ass comment. Going for the 2 points, executing it and SB giving 110% on that play was the opposite of luck

Take one game at a time. Lots of things to build on , lots of things to improve on. It was a good win now on to the Panthers. Special teams is the biggest concern right now. IMO.

We’re not as good as we looked against the Titans.
The Panthers aren’t as good as the Titans, but the Browns are a better team than we are, even with a backup QB.
It’s just nice to not dread a Giants game for a change.

It’s just nice to not dread a Giants game for a change. the Giants looked more resilient than good yesterday. They hung tough in the face of mistakes. With that said the NYGs dont have any "easy" games this season. They are team trying to rebuild and find themselves. The roster as well as the staff.

I don't really see them as similar teams at all really, other than them both being mediocre teams.
Mayfield is a better QB than Tannehill. CAR's receivers are much more established than TEN. TEN doesn't have a DJ Moore (at least until Trey Burks develops). McCaffery is a very different style of runner than Henry, and unlike Henry he doesn't come out on passing downs, which gives CAR some additional flexibility.
Remember, we are a made FG away from sharing the same record as CAR.

A 47 yarder isn't a gimme but it also isn't a difficult kick to make. I'll take it and was really about it but this team needs work.

I think there’s a tendency to think because we beat the Titans we should be able to beat the Panthers. I dont feel any different about the panthers game than I did on Saturday. They’re more beatable than the Titans. And that’s what I meant. I think being competitive in that Titans game shows great progress, but winning that game doesn’t make me feel like we’re any better than I thought we were at the start of the season. I’m just glad there’s some hope.

I surely won't sleep on any opponent. Folks think Dak being out means that's an automatic win .Nah I think we actually lost to Cooper Rush before. Any team can rise up and shine and embarrass yo ass lol. I hope and think that the coaching staff will guide them in the right direction as to not get too high or too low.

Wish people would stop putting down a good road win vs a quality playoff team. 1. We scored 22 points in the second half. 2. We held them to 7 points in the second half. 3. We won the game. What happened to the only wins matter crowd?

I think this game showed that the Giants might take their lumps but will keep fighting and will be a competitive team. And after the last bunch of seasons, that's all we can ask for.

The Giants have been crusty for so long and there are still big problems that were very apparent during the game. I think everyone is happy that they won but this team needs to buy in and get better quickly.
