I wish I was the only Islanders fan here! Why do you keep ruining fun threads with your anger? Let's keep it civil now. No need for this. Ignore my posts then.

Holycrap... 35 seconds into the game and the Pens score!
Oh well, in a selfish way, I do want to be at Game 5 at The Barn on Thursday night.

The Islanders SWEEP Pittsburgh!!!! On a sad note. The rest of the home playoff games will be played in the Black Dungeon in Crooklyn, and not in The Barn.

Horrible for them not having a true home arena. I've only been to a couple of Islander games at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, including a playoff game against the Lightning few years back. Trust me when I say, and I'm not exaggerating. The atmosphere at the Barclay Center is a huge downgrade compared to The Barn in Nassau County.

They have to figure out something... 2018-19 11,250 AVG attendance at Barclays Center 13,519 AVG attendance at Nassau Coliseum Its sucks because they were killing it most the year and still couldn't pull the fans in. It was better at the Barn, but still bottom of the league in average attendance. While teams like Tampa Bay, who were also dominating all year, pulled in a huge crowd despite Tampa being a terrible sports fan base area and definitely not a hockey town. They need to pull in around 18,000 per game to be average, but the Barn only holds 14,500.

But Hockey is the best sport to see and be at, from my experiences.

So it will be the Caps or Hurricanes in round 2. Hoping for the Canes.
Would be crazy if we play the Caps, Trotz old team, beat them, then play the Maple Leafs for the conference, with Tavaras over there now. Talk about a revenge tour.

Back when I lived on LI (as a rival Rangers fan) in the 80s and 90s there were plenty. What a shame they can’t draw better. Plenty to be excited about especially with Trotz at the helm. I had them going to the ECF in my bracket. East wide open.

The Nassau Coliseum pic is mine from my seats in section 223, and the Barclays Center section 209 pic I got off the internet. I'll be in a lower row than 20 in section 209, but good God!!!

Islanders' Johnny Boychuk to miss three to four weeks after blocking shot with left leg. Thomas Hickey played in the Islanders’ first 32 games and had been a regular in the lineup since arriving in the lockout-shortened 2013 season. But the defenseman did a lot of watching after suffering a head injury Dec. 17 and was a spectator for all of the Islanders’ four-game sweep of the Penguins in the first round of the playoffs. Now he’s expected to get a chance to reclaim his lineup spot. Johnny Boychuk will be out three to four weeks after blocking a shot with his left leg in Tuesday night’s 3-1 win in Game 4 in Pittsburgh. www.newsday.com/sports/hockey/islanders/johnny-boychuk-injury-1.29986362

Big game tonight for the Caps and Canes. Winner takes a 3-2 lead in the series with a chance to play the 2019 Stanley Cup Champions :-)
I'm not sure who I want the Isles to face yet. Canes make the most sense but Caps just lost one of their best players. Still have Ov though

Who would've thought back in September that the Islanders would've gone farther in the playoffs than John Tavares??!!! Enjoy your golf game at your local country club in Toronto, JT!!!!

Although it would be kinda nice knocking off Sid the Kid and the Great OV back to back. Gotta root for the canes for the home ice advantage.
