I'm going to be optimistic. I think our offense scores 20 on sunday.

I voted for the Giants. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Giants up their game, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they were to lose either.
I’m concerned about our defense having to contain Cam for 60 minutes while the offense shows no urgency in trying to do their part.

Have to win this game because there’s a good chance ODB will be kept in check again. Panthers secondary is excellent. The Panthers have allowed James Bradberry to follow opposing top receivers. Per PFF, Bradberry was on Julio Jones for 70.4 percent of Jones’s routes and allowed four receptions and 46 yards on seven targets. In Week 3, Bradberry was on A.J. Green for 55.6 percent of Green’s routes with two receptions for 12 yards on five targets. Bradberry's production against top wide receivers in the Panthers' past two games speaks for itself: Going up against Julio Jones in Week Two, Bradberry held the Atlanta Falcons' All-Pro receiver to just five catches for 64 yards and no touchdowns. In Week Three against Bengals Pro Bowl receiver A.J. Green, Bradberry was even better: When Green was lined up against Bradberry, he only managed two catches for just 12 yards. And again, no score. www.google.com/amp/s/247sports.com/nfl/carolina-panthers/Article/James-Bradberry-matchup-Odell-Beckham-Jr-122841238/Amp/

Can't wait to see the Chuck Knoxx video for this week, if he even bothers.

I suspect that by this time tomorrow there will be plenty of yelling in here.

I'd like to see these things:
1. If the Giants win the coin toss, don't defer. Go out there and march down the ****ing field and get 7 on the first drive. Make a statement. 2. Be aggressive on both sides of the ball. On offense, go for it on 3rd and 5. Who cares? The only chance you have is to scare the Panthers by converting. 3 and outs are going to leave them smelling blood in the water. Also, get to the QB, whether he's in the pocket or tries to run. You gotta rattle Cam....he can be rattled. 3. Run the goddamn ball. A lot. Pound it.

Well, that is a great idea also, but alas, I made I typo; I meant go for it (within reason) on 4th and 5. Don't do it on your own 10.....but hell, I'd gamble at the 50....definitley under the 50....

Point is: they really can't play it safe; it's balls to the wall or lose. If they come out looking like a bunch of girlscouts wake me when the 2019 draft starts.

well I certainly hope they go for it on 3rd and 5 lol. I thought he meant actually throw for 5 or more yards on the play. they usually do on third and short and have been pretty decent. I think the third and 14 short passes are a complete overreaction by the fans here. We can only see so much on TV but people are assuming guys are running free down field. I actually don’t have a problem with those because literally every team will do it. Even Brees took the underneath stuff rather than forcing it. Brady did vs the Colts too on 3rd and long. If the Giants want to be a threat in the NFC, they need to make sure they don’t put themselves in 3rd and long often rather than worrying about how to get out of them.

Also not a fan of run, short pass or short pass and run on 1st and 2nd down. Just seems like you’re setting yourself up on purpose for a 3rd down. If they want to run on first and grab a few yards that’s fine. How about throw it behind the sticks on 2nd and 7 instead of playing for 5 yards. That bothers me more than dump offs on 3rd and 14.
On 2nd down you can do anything you want. Run with Barkley or any kind of pass play. Getting 5 yards to ODB on those is just scared football. Take more shots on first and second down.

Giants look horrible now and are playing a 2-1 team coming off of their bye week. Unless the Giants defense can turn the ball over a few times and/or put points on the board it doesn't look too hopeful for the G-Men.

Its been brewing. His words throughout the week were strong. He needs to actually lead by example now and hopefully Eli realises checking down completely nullifies Odell. Maybe a few words throughout the week can improve everybody. AJ and Julio are bigger receivers. They don't have the route running of Odell as good as they are and any corner can be undone by that.

The only way Odell’s getting 150 yards receiving is if he catches five 3-yard passes and turns them into 30 yard gains with his feet.

I just hope Shurmur et al don't come out super predictable.
After a week(s) of scrutiny about constantly checking down and dinking and dunking, on the heels of Beckham's comment in the Anderson interview... I just hope we don't come out chucking it downfield with the intention of "righting the ship" instantly.
Everyone and their mother is expecting the Giants to try and push it downfield now.
Commit to the run and take the play action.

LOL, I am always going to go with the Giants, you can just pencil me in. I have changed my approach in my weekly pickem pools where I now pick against them often. After 5 years of never coming close to winning, I realize that always picking the Giants and never picking the Jets or Eagles that was NOT a winning strategy.

Oh well, march on....

Actually, I just decided to record the game and go out for a beer or three.
I have watched all the games live at home thus far and it hasn't worked out.
..maybe a little change of pace will help.
