Playoff game for Giants.
Home on a Thursday against a team that’s really struggling. If they can’t win in this spot they need to use the 11 days leading up to Atlanta as a reality check and self examine what they are trying to do this season. If they get to 2-4 play on and try go getting one in Atlanta. If they lose its time to play the kid.

Im expecting a 34-10 type game advantage Eagles...
Or a 27-26 game where the Eagles get the last score as time expires on a muffed snap fumble return and the ghost of DeSean Jackson moonwalks into the endzone.
Both sound equally reasonable right now.

None of this would surprise me but there still is a glimmer of hope...my biggest concern in this game is if we will be able to block up enough plays to win against that tough Philly front 7...

Both sound equally reasonable right now. 63-7 Giants. It would be more, but the Giants replace Manning in the 4th quarter with Snacks to prevent running up the score too much.

Wouldn't that make it easier to run up the score though? :-)

Please win. I always expect a loss (in devastating fashion) vs Philly but I actually have hope for Thursday. Such few good memories in the past decade vs Philly. That comeback and OT win with the Plaxico TD is one of the few bright spots. Can we sign him for a game? Guy usually played great vs. Philly

I hate to be that guy but this is the perfect game for the Eagles to ruin our season again. Primetime, season "on the line", Eagles have owned us and broken our hearts for many seasons now...
I hope I'm wrong but this is not going to be enjoyable.

The last three matchups between Eagles and Giants went: 34-27, 27-24, and 24-19, all to the birds. Oddly the Giants scored in losing exactly the same as the Eagles scored in winning the game before!
I then calculated the winning percentage of the Eagles to be 21% more than the Giants on average.
Using Trajectory Theory and mathematical extrapolation plus an old Answer-Orb I predict..... Eagles 41 Giants 34.

A good friend of mine is an Eagles fan and he has some observations 1.both OTs seem shot 2.Really miss Reich and the their QB coach, and the new OC sucks 3.Wentz has been very timid in the pocket as far as running 4.the real Agholar has returned, last years 8 week wonder was just a mirage as tbe drops and bad route running have returned 5.the TEs are basicly the passing offense and they can go 3 of them on the field and all 3 are legit passing game threats (gulp) 6.Secondary still sucks and very vunerable in the middle of the field to TEs and backs
So we might finally get some pressure on tbe qb,even more so if we get Vernon back
If we can block up the front 4 we have a shot at big plays all over the field. We have a chance

Eli had his 2 best games v Philly last year. 430 yards in 2nd with no Beckham. Giants should be able to move it.

I’m going 34-24 Giants. Thursday games are a different animal. They should be illegal. Huge advantage for the home team. Philly’s OTs are struggling badly. Their secondary has been terrible. Eli passed for 740 yards and 6 TDs in 2 games v them last year.

I't will stilll come down to wether the Giants can block them Bennet on wheeler is scary thats what I would do.That will be the big one like it is every week, just decent push in the run game and pass pro equal to or better then the Panthers game it's a win.

Egals have a great front 7. So to beat a dead horse one more time on O it's going to come down to blocking and scheming ways to get the ball to our playmakers. If we have time we canl light up their secondary - also nice to see it looks like Engram is good to go.
On D its contain the QB, limit the run and cover the TEs.
My prediction is Giants 26 Egals 19.

Although the Carolina game was sloppy, there was a lot of good in it, in that the Giants actually opened up the playbook, at least a little. Its almost like this team the last few years needs permission to score. "Throw 30 yards? Can we do that? We can? We scored again! Is that okay? It is? Oh good..." Theres just too many dudes on this offense that have big time play ability to keep this team from scoring so low, and with the modern game, with teams like the rams racking up 100 points a game, we really do need to light up the scoreboard. I think theyre starting to learn that they can, I think they score around 30 against philly; I think theyll be very anxious to win, after deserving the W in carolina.
I dont even know what im trying to say...so i guess ill quietly, humbly, meekly say...I think they can win thursday. I think itll be another kinda sloppy game but not quite as crazy as carolina, but just reverse the score, like 31-30 or 33-30 giants, something like that...
its about time the other team had a heartbreak, im tired of our own hearts broken. break theirs. lol
