Just like the fact you can't follow the discussions out here.. I was wondering why I’ve had this dude on ignore for over a year or two. All I had to do was click on a few of these comments and I’ve been reminded why. I've joined you. It's the only way to go.

I've been critical of Schoen for not showing us his true intentions in keeping Barkley and refusing to further negotiate with him. But I'm not going to let that cloud my overall judgment of him as a GM. He likely has a hidden plan and look forward to seeing how it plays-out and hopefully moves the Giants forward and not backwards. I'm anxious to see what it is.
With limited funds, Schoen has done a great job this off-season strengthening the Giants by re-signing Jones, bolstering the receiving corp, and adding players who can defend the run.
I'm confident that he'll do a very good job in the draft. He demonstrated that In last year's draft by moving down twice in the second round to pick-up more good players as the Giants had many pot-holes to fill. I look forward to seeing how he masterly operates in this draft.

He had to spend more money ultimately. Pretty sure this what you were posting. Many times as well. - Should have drafted Cross and was a bad move to draft Neal. - Both Ezeudu and Neal are fundamentally flawed and will not be good o-linmen. Poor draft choices. (this could happen but not likely) I am sure there are other examples. Now you have this new found confidence and you looking forward to how he "masterly" operates the draft? Changing one's mind is a good thing at times but you need to also stay true to the stuff you previously posted. You were on Schoen for more than just the Barkley issue.

I said Jones a terrific QB, you said he sucked. Said that Neal and Ezdudu did not good last seasons and they weren't. Said Neal. Oilfield be good if he would only keep his feet moving. Now think that's was his sole problem. Both are poor drafted choices so far. I guess you thought they played well. Hope both improve. Never said one word about switching team allegiance due to Schoen. In fact, I praised Schoen on Daboll pick as HC, draft, and free agent signings. No GM gets everything right., What I did say and some die-hard life-long posters took umbrage to was my saying if Daboll didn't run a good offense I would change who I rooted for. He ran a decent offense, but I expect more from him this up-coming season. Love that Jones remains at the helm. It doesn't bother me if the players are not the best as long as the offense is interesting and dynamic. For me, anyone can be a Giants fan for whatever reason. There's no litmus test although some others here feel otherwise.

If you think I’m sifting through pages of your bullshit, which we all already know, you’re out of your mind. I will retract and apologize for saying I thought you may have said you would leave and become a Jets fan if you didn’t like Schoen…you said that about Dabs instead. As far as you not liking Schoen, Gametime already gave several examples just a few posts above this. Again, no need to rehash what’s already been said. I’ve been down this road before, I’d waste my time finding an exact quote (even though we’ve all seen the things you’ve said about Schoen, good and bad) but then you’ll come up with an excuse of why you said it or what you really meant. This is all part of your troll game, go find someone else to be your gopher.

You shouldn't conflate criticism with not liking them as GM and HC. Most poster here chose to praise both and are harder on the players. I've said that the prior draft was overall good as his signings.. While most posters didn't like the Robinson pick, I did. Still do. Injuries occurring after a player being drafted doesn't enter into my opinion whether a player should be drafted. I don't think that Neal and Ezeudu have been good and don't see them improving but that's happened with other players. We'll se how they play this season. Don't see why you like Neal being drafted. I did prefer Cross and some here say he didn't play well. But I've read Seattle fans praising him but for his play against the 49ers. Anyone know Neal's stats as compared to Cross?Let's see how Neal and Cross stack up this season. I'll leet you know if I change my mind.

The kid was high on the board for a reason.

I gotta imagine Brian Branch is a prime target for us...Wink's wet dream...A guy that does it all...cover, blitz, tackle... essentially filling 2 gaps (safety/corner). Wouldn't be surprised if we trade up for him

I could also see the Chargers at 21 grabbing him or the Ravens at 22. I think he is good enough to be a top 10 pick, but it is a poor use of cap space. Not sure I'd take a RB before 15 because of that. But really any team could grab him even if they already have a RB. It is a position you want to keep young and cost controlled. So there isn't a spot other than #1 overall that would surprise me. But anything before #15 probably wouldn't be a wise roster building decision.

This draft is all over the place, but that is more an indication of talent vs positional value thing with Robinson. The problem with using a top 10 pick on a RB you are instantly paying top of the market cap space at the RB position. High picks are to get top of the market players at relatively low cap cost. RB doesn't give you that picking him that high. Though RBs on rookie contracts are the only time they produce at a cap value level. Soooo... Hard position to figure, so nothing is really surprising with where these top RBs go.

No , I am not a fan of DG but I do acknowledge he can see NFL talent.I am just saying for such a bad GM in a desperate position and an aging QB he somehow avoided the bad ones and picked what the next regime thought was a good one. It is one of the hardest positions to get right. your perceptions are interesting. The worst GM I’ve seen besides Matt Millen. Your post reeks DG was a victim and desperate for a QB yet passed on QBs and went HB and tried building around an old QB without an OL and disassembled the defense by hiring a 3-4 coordinator (or for those who defend him, allowed a 3-4 DC to be hired). He was pathetic and no a clue as a GM. He’s a scout who landed a GM job and failed. I wonder if Gettleman had the opportunity to make that same pick over again would he make the same pick

As for the Eagles taking one at #10 which I agree cost wise is not a good move but they are one of those rare teams that are still ready to win a championship so picking a RB that high isn't terrible..

For the Eagles I would be building strength on strength with the #10 pick. Look at pass rushers and WR there, maybe CB. Smith, Brown, JSN at WR? Who is covering that consistently? They can be just fine with a 2nd tier RB. I think that kid out of UCLA would be perfect for them and consider him with their pick at 30; Charbonnet. Unless of course Robinson is still there. Not likely, but possible. Or build the OL more, and grab Skoronski.

I was just giving an opinion that I could see a team in their rare situation take either of those positions in the top 10..

I just don't think that pick would have as much impact as building on existing strengths. I'd like it if they spend a top 10 pick on a RB after they just inked their QB. Because I hate the Eagles.
