Yup. There's a reason Belichick let's certain players goes. The Patriots don't overpay veterans.

Toms best linemen for the last little bit, including their SB run last year. Its hard when you're blocking for a shit QB though, no matter who you are. Thank god your boy Gettlemen made him the richest linemen in the league though hey?

This is what happens when the prior GM became inept and the new management had to try and fill in best they could with Solder... what a mess...

looked like he had an open door policy for the DE he was lining up against all night. He is terrible for us. We were no worse with Flowers in there, and I don't say that lightly.

Although Reese created the hole, DG did not HAVE to fill it with Nate Solder and pay him what he did. He could have drafted a young tackle and probably gotten similar results for cheaper, younger talent with more upside.

This is not fun Some guy named Ben McAdoo told us that he stunk and that Flowers wouldn't work out no matter what side you put him on. Spot on. This really shouldn't surprise anyone. If New England let him walk, that should have told all potential buyers something.

He was fine for brady. Seriously at some point the qb has to shoulder a portion of the blame. Eli certainly isn't doing them any favors.

We overpaid for a slightly above average LT, but that was the market. We NEEDED an LT and he was the best option out there it sucks but thats what it is.
I wish we paid Norwell.....

I wish we paid Norwell..... he's been playing way below average LT, that is the root of the problem. If he were playing at an average level, he'd look like a star on our line.

Yup. There's a reason Belichick let's certain players goes. The Patriots don't overpay veterans. Solder was contemplating retirement in December. Why would the Patriots invest in that?

He could have drafted a young tackle and probably gotten similar results for cheaper, younger talent with more upside. The opposite, based on what Reese did... DG came in and made the decision to fill the spot with Solder since Flowers could not do the job and the OL desperately needed help. I remember he did say it is a "win now" scenario so that is probably justified the contract for Solder. Not sure who was left to draft? Considering they got Hernandez the question now is it time to call this a rebuilding year

It's time to stop blaming the Oline. When a defender has a good chance to take down you QB once he gets by the OL because he can't get out of your way and folds that is an incentive to give the extra effort to do that. Every team has learned to blitz or bull rush Eli. This is because he will:
1. Fold or fumble. 2. Throw it away. 3. Check down. 4. Throw it without looking which can lead to an interception. 5. Actually complete a pass which at most may score 2 TDs a game, but more likely FGs.
OK this is the last time I will make a negative comment about Eli because if he is playing, I am not watching.

Did you notice that with mobile QBs there is one defenseman who is given the job of tracking the QB? That guy is available as another rusher as they know exactly where this QB is.

The entire team looks to have the Just going through the motions demeanor. It almost has a bad case poor me syndrome This team needs to be made aware, everyday you are not looking up at the grass is a great day. We do not have much time on this earth. Even less of a window to play football, if you have the privilege to p[ay in the NFL . Those 2 thing right there should make every player on that team play every down as if it is the last one they will ever play.
