I learned a long time ago never give a crap about how great a player looks in shorts and a jersey. There a dime a dozen. You’re right that it doesn’t guarantee anything but whenever I see one of our players in better shape it makes me optimistic about them as a player. It shows discipline to the work they put in to bulk up. But of course we need to see that translate into the games. Azeez is the perfect example of this.

post a picI had to do a quick double take because I do not remember seeing this guy at TE last year. Did someone kidnap Belly? Who is this dude? Lol On a serious note he looks almlst unrecognizable. This TE group may be ready to go all out this year. The Waller/Bellinger combo is going to be fun to watch. Gotta be one of the best, if not the best, TE duos in the league. Can’t wait to see how we utilize all these weapons. I think they can be Belly hopefully has sharpened up his game some he looks to have put the work in on the body. I'm sure he has worked on route running and technique also. If he takes a leap and Waller stays healthy they can be lethal with SQB in the run game or leaking out thats right there is tough to deal with then add Cambell Hodgins or Slayton or Hyatt into the mix this can get pretty explosive.

Belly is a kid that had all the athleticism as a rookie and seems to be the type that is gonna work extremely hard on his body and craft hopefully not to hard once you get densely Muscled up Hydration is huge along with rest and soft tissue work. He will have to get used to the new him and how to take care of himself and learn what enough and whats to much.

Let's hope he's got the right people training him. Nice guns and abs though....

I thought Bellinger for a 4th round pick exceeded his draft status. 85.7 % reception rate is no joke. That is best on the team and 5th in the league. Is there anything that can be said bad about this kid? In college his senior year the head coach went to him and was like we are sorry for not getting you the ball enough we are going to start making you a major focal point of this offense to help your draft stock. He told the coach our team is not built for that with out QB play that he would rather win games then build his draft stock. His TD run was supposed to be a TE pass he saw it wasnt open and took off that showed me he has a good football IQ as a rookie. A team player with good football IQ, good athleticism, and good worker. I cant really think of one bad thing about him myself. This kid is only getting started cant wait to see what he becomes. Yes to all of that

He also lost a fumble against the Vikings in the reg season. Very good hands though. He had the lowest drop rate of all TE's in the 2022 draft.

Hope to see it pay off.
