IMO Chicago, green bay aren't nicer than our ny and Clevelands is totally lacking any imagination. The Worst of them all is Washington. Horrid. They should have stuck with Redskins and that herlmet design... it was really good. They buckled to the voices and came up with shit. The new name is bad and the new logo is worse. Chicago is among my favorite logos. Very well designed and simple. The Browns don't have a logo. Which places them fairly high on the list of best logos. I prefer helmets with no logos, or with just the player's number there. I think the little 'ny' is very simple and way nicer than Chicago's much larger and not unique orange "C" on a black field. Helps that I like Giant blue and care less about the bears black. I like SF way better than the "C". The C is devoid of life/spirit. The Browns have never had anything but that orange brown color... stimulating... NOT. |

OMG, those are all terrible designs. If I had to pick one as the best, or actually least terrible, probably the 1950-1955 one. Only the 1975 one is worse than the current one though. If we really want this crayon box design at least use the 1961-1974 one. So: 1-1950-1955 2-1956-1960 3-1961-1974 4-1976-1999 5-1945-1949 6-2000-2023 7-1975 |

You've heard me opine on the word "hate" before. I will not use that word here. I will just say it is horrendous and sucks as a replacement logo. I don't hate it or her for producing it. Lose it! It is just a word. If you're offended, I apologize. It is like any word. The basic contextual idea of the word being used can have many meanings. I believe the way the conveyed phrase was presented was obvious. Sorry, I wasn't poking at you with that post and I am not really offended by the word. I even use it from time to time, when warranted......just not as a catch phrase for all forms of "disagreeing." More judicious use of that word is one brick in a wall of improving civility. The world needs it. I realize that it has a completely different context in the current vernacular, it just seems to be overused when there is no real hate involved. I will steer clear of this going forward as it is way off topic anywhere on these boards. Back to the logo, ugh!! |

the logo doesnt get you any more wins.
The NYGs logo and team are associated with 4 Lombardi's so in that regard its all good.
I prefer the lower case "ny". Its simple and to represents the team well as an old NFL franchise.

Right, which is why I don't care. But the thread is about logo design so it isn't relevant to the current discussion. The only thing logo design has any impact on my life is how much money I waste on merch. Fairly happy that the design is so terrible, it saves me a bit of money. |

I will admit to liking the current logo and can't standing the one from 1975. As for other teams I use to like the Rams dark blue and white helmet.

On 2nd (and 3rd and 4th) thought and a few gallons of cherry-vanilla hateraide. I kinda love it. Lemme splain: Its basically a giant middle finger to the world, additionally its ugly and garish, unoriginal and derivative. Its a perfect embodiment of New York and what it values so in that way its perfect

After seeing the preceding logos (how quickly we forget) and the proposed logo, suffice it to say the current logo is not going anywhere!
You would think in one of the largest Media Markets in the world, with all the Art, Advertising firms and PR firms something really cool, appealing and different would have manifested itself by now.
Maybe simple is better with just "NY"

I think what a team should seek is an iconic logo which doesn't need to be refreshed.
How often is the Yankees NY "updated?"
How about we stick with the current logo for 30 more years and revisit this topic then?
If it is about selling gear (which it always is), slap some new logos on new gear but don't jam a general logo refresh on the rest of us.

she is so good? I think she was a reject from the Graphic Design School. It takes a lot of imagination to think this as New York let alone the NY Football Giants. When I saw it it reminded me Stephen's Kings horror movie the Dark Tower

Ya, not a fan of Stadium..but my seats are awesome, so I just blot the rest out! Front row Mezz Club (although might be my last year? ) This will be my first year of no tickets.... since 1976. My nephew will continue them... going strong since 1943... 80 years for our tix. I had seats in the section below the 3rd level... 4 rows of seats below 3rd and above 2nd level. I liked them. I don't mind the field area, TV screens, etc. What I hate is the bowels... everything behind the seats. The insides are a cluster funk First day at the stadium I wanted to walk around the first level to see what they had inside and it is a pure mess. Walls, detours. I go up to the 3rd level to get to my seats. There are no stairs in the entire stadium that go continuously from bottom to 3rd level. The escalator was designed by an idiot. Instead of stepping off the top of the first flight and right on to the 2nd level going up, you have to walk all the way back to start, above where you started on the first level... and so forth up to the 3rd level. It's stupid as hell. |

yea..after another look me calling it "much better" was a bit of a stretch. I like the 1976-1999 Giants logo the best. |
