Tons of 2024 QB 1st rd picks playing right now.. off the top of my head: - Caleb Williams (USC) - Bo Nix (O) -Jackson Dart (Miss) - Michael Penix Jr (Wash) -Sam Hartmann (ND) - Dillon Gabriel (Ok) Bumper crop as they say that Duke QB is playing well too, isn't he. Look how well the last 2 we took worked out/are working out for us... Can any of the 24 QBs levitate? I think we just need to find one that can do that. 🤣

A+ game between Texas and Oklahoma. Texas should have used a timeout late though. Now I get to watch SU get humiliated by UNC.

Dillon Gabriel runs the 1 MIN drill perfectly. Coolness under fire quite impressive

Haven't seen Maye play before, curious. The guy is totally lighting Cuse up with 280 yards passing......in the first half. I'm actually checking out of this one. Man, Syracuse is not good at football.

Drake Maye throwing lasers today. Great feel for the rush in the pocket and able to escape and improvise. Also knows when to slide and preserve his body. Impressive. Looks like he will be a top 10 pick when he declares

Louisville is playing some great football today. Impressive ND getting ran over by Jawher Jordan. Yeah, the ex-Cuse RB Babers buried on the depth chart.

I didn't watch that much of it when all was said and done. The OK/Tx game was damn good.

Looks like he will be a top 10 pick when he declares #2 behind Williams IMO I haven't drank the Williams kool-aide. He played poorly against a mediocre AZ team. Lets see how he does against the SECs and BIG 10s of the world. Great talent for sure but one needs to look at a body of work against good and bad teams to really evaluate. Lest we not fall in 'full bloom love' with a QB that had a handful of good games

Lest we not fall in 'full bloom love' with a QB that had a handful of good games I wouldn't be in a rush to sell his stock after that game. He still had 4 total TDs and also made the game winning 2 point conversation. Arizona had a really good scheme on defense that confused their offense for most of the game. Every game isn't going to be great. Not even for a player of his caliber.

Fortunately for us we have a great qb class in 2024 so Williams will not be the only choice.. I am worried about who would be selecting that QB

Like you said, with the QB class being what it is, there will be plenty of good options available.

Ok, opinions on Caleb Williams.
Next great NFL talent, or just a college QB padding stats vs average teams?
IMO, we are in need of a QB again.

I think that he is the real deal, but saying that he would be the #1 pick in a draft with Andrew Luck and Trevor Lawrence in it is a stretch. Speaking of a stretch, seeing the premature coronation of the Colorado football program by the media crash and burn is funny to me. I think that program is heading in the right direction and is a good story. However, the media overstated them big time. That blown lead is embarrassing. Finally, Syracuse is so predictable. Let's schedule some cream puffs to start the season, get fans some hope, and then flame out as the season goes by.

Keon Coleman is going to beat the Orange by himself. Him vs Marvin Harrison Jr (another guy who should be at Syracuse, but they can't recruit for shit). Who ya got?

Oregon Washington should be a good game.
First game I'll sit and really watch Pinnex JR. Not a great test for him defensively but still will be interested.

What's sad about the 3-41 loss is that Florida State left at least 10 points on the table in the first half by going 0-2 on 4th down. That game was not as close as the final score.

At least Dino Babers is a good HC. Something to look forward to. Ill be honest, NIL is absolutely destroying teams like Syracuse. As soon as they find a good 3 star who looks good, a big school pays him more money to steal him. Imagine the NFL being like that. Every player being a FA every year regardless of the contract they are on, and having like 10 teams with unlimited payrolls.

Unless Syracuse both puts their money where they mouths are AND hire a coach with some national clout, they will be bottom of the barrel in football. Yeah, Babers is Bear Bryant 😄

Then, what makes college any different than the NFL. Just make it an NFL minor leagues so the kids dont have to worry about school at all, like MLB. Not like most care about school anyway. Have like 30-40 minor league NFL teams across the country. Another way the NFL can make more money.

Who's gonna compete with Alabama, Texas, Ohio St, USC, and GA when it comes to donors? I absolutely understand your concerns about an NIL cap, and feel like it is more than valid.

Strip the teams from the schools and move on. Sucks but they ruined the game much like everything else.
