Gutted out the win with a last minute err last 11 second game tying goal.
Wasn't happy with how this game progressed. Another bottom feeding team we struggle to get a win against. Never should have gone to a shootout but Quick playing better than advertised. Actually, him and Wheeler. I wasn't sold on them being added but I was wrong. They're playing much better for us than I thought they would.
Lafreniere had a strong night so maybe he's coming around.
Really didn't want to go into a 5-day break with a loss against a team we should beat. Glad we didn't. Seemed like we were looking by these guys and may have already been on our break but pulled out the win.

The Rangers beat Columbus and the Refs tonight. Nice win ! AL sweet winning goal. seriously though, Toronto hates us. No goal, no major. What gives? Lindgren was mugged with a knife. Okay say that was questionable but the goal No Fkin way! Steve Valiquette was blown away by that bad call. I couldn't believe how long that took. I could have taken a shower, then went to the super market and made it in time to resume the game. That was BS and the hockey Gods in the end made it right.

I hope Lindgren is okay with Fox out that would be an issue.

Oh and one more thing... '
How was that not a goal in the 2nd? I really would like to see every other NHL team have the same thing happen to them and see if the ruling would be the same.
Hard to not feel there is a bias against us especially when you have such a lengthy review. Sam and Joe are some of the most objective announcers, sometimes to a fault, and even they were saying it was getting a little ridiculous. Then they come back with the no goal call.
Makes me glad we won even more after that BS.

Not a major and nothing wrong with this apparently: I try to tell myself there isn’t a bias that officiating and the NHL doesn’t have one against us but the years and years of watching have worn me down. Last night that hit on Lindgren plus the disallowed goal after the inordinate amount of time to come to a decision… it’s like they were concocting a reason to disallow it on the fly. Before the start of the third, Valliquette talking about how surprised he was after coming here to play years ago and we got no calls. All that plus my eyes have really made it hard not to think something is against us that is as much off the ice as on it.

People can tell me differently but I believe it. If you remember the finals against the Kings we got hosed so many times I lost count. But people just call you a sore loser or whatever. That shit was real.

Let’s face some facts unlike other notable franchises NY Rangers are never going to need to be saved due to lack of interest or ownership wanting to move. No need for a heroic story of an ex-player swooping in to save the day and then “coincidentally” getting 3-4 top tier players. Plus you are 100% right about hatred from Canada and I think most other franchises. If we ever reach the mountain top and raise the Cup we’ll know we did it against inequitable odds.

Bieber and the zebras. I just assume the second anything gets reviewed we will get screwed. Makes it easier to accept. Yep, same. Once again, an obvious hit to Lindgren's head and they say there wasn't a penalty. The allowed goal. That was unreal. The whistle obviously blew but they review and decide, oh yea the whistle blew but nope we'll let the goal stand. Crazy how each game is getting to the point where I'm just waiting for a terrible call to go against us. Great win though despite the BS from the officiating. I really thought we'd come out rusty but we looked good, not great, but much better than I thought we would. We did enough to get the win and I love beating Jersey especially getting the game winning goal in the last 5 minutes of regulation. Tough bunch of games coming up so this was a really nice win.

Didn't play well tonight. Didn't like the effort. Too much pass happy crap instead of going to the net hard and hammering the hell out of their backup goalie.
2nd period Dallas started leaning on us and playing hard and we had no answer. You have a 2-0 lead over halfway through the 2nd and then you lose 6-3?
Not good enough against a top team. Too much finesse shit and not enough grit. Games like this one is why we're a soft team.

I actually thought we played well for 37 Minutes. One bad turnover swung everything. What’s up with Igor not securing the puck? Oh and is any review ever going in the Rangers favor?

I actually thought we played well for 37 Minutes. One bad turnover swung everything. What’s up with Igor not securing the puck? Oh and is any review ever going in the Rangers favor? Very rarely will reviews ever go in our favor. And yea we played well for a period+ until Vesey forgot he’s on the 4th line. This is the problem I have had with our Blueshirts for what feels like forever. It’s not about the loss, I get it, it’s one game but it’s how we lost. Dallas was outplayed badly in the first. They had maybe six shots on goal and we were rolling but then the stars came out in the second with desperate intensity and we didn’t meet it. Instead we went away from everything that worked and wilted like a soft team. 36 total shots for Dallas. So we gave up 30 in two periods. What happened? And instead of grinding and crashing the net we get pass happy BS which I agree started with #26 making a moronic play. There is a reason why we can’t wrap up playoff series we win in under 7 games 99.99% of the time. Playoffs expose us. We lack killer instincts we lack the grinding intensity which means, in my opinion, we’re soft and all the pass happy finesse figure skating crap won’t work in the postseason. I hope I’m wrong but this has been going on for years. I know we’ve started out strong this season but I credit a lot of that to Panarin’s historic scoring streak. Of course I may be overreacting heh 😁

Good win tonight. Quick is much better than advertised. Always happy beating the pens and shutting them out makes it even better.
It was a goaltender battle. Jarry was amazing but thankfully Lafreniere got one by him.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Here is my current concern. The team has played well in the new system, but Mika and Kakko look lost.

Yea they did and their PP is struggling but you know that they got a bunch of questionable penalties called in their favor isn't surprising to me. They always get calls. Been that way for years now especially when we play there. Quick was excellent and what was that non goalie interference call? Even if it wasn't a penalty aren't you supposed to blow the whistle when the goalie loses gear? Thankfully the review went in our favor and disallowed the goal. The play was obviously offsides so they couldn't fudge it and give Pitt the goal. Yea you're probably right about Mika and Kakko but there was times Mika looked good. Hopefully they both turn things around soon.

Kreider using his body. Wish he did it more often. That hit was because Letang had just hit him into the boards borderline illegally and Kreider's face smashed into the glass. He was pissed and took it out on Letang which was wonderful to see.

Another win against a hated team. All Mika needed was to play a team he has been dominating since he joined our Blueshirts.
Was hoping he'd get the hat trick but beating the philthy cryers is always great.
Thought we could have played better in certain phases but played well overall. Igor took a lot of shots, too many I thought, but other than their deflection goal he looked solid.
And, just because it's a theme with us and always has been, funny how once again the penalties didn't go our way at all. Saw a high stick against us, saw Panarin get tripped, and amazing how they get the instigator power play, but we don't.
Overcame all of it though which is probably going to be how we're going to have to do it.
Top east teams playing tomorrow. Would be wonderful to beat Boston a day after beating philthy.

I think it’s about ridiculous the PPs in the last couple games. Today it’s 6-2. Truly seemed like their little national TV matinee they were just desperate to keep it close. Shots were actually lopsided. Good thing Igor was on his game. I’d bet the performance of Quick is motivating him a bit. We are playing 2 in 3 days and Quick was set up to go twice.
