Well now this is a much more enjoyable game than the 1st game so far. A 6 run lead going into the bottom of the 2nd with Manea pitching I'll take my chances.
Big strikeout to end the 2nd with 2 on. Atta boy Manea.

OK we split the first 2 games in L.A. This win was tougher than the final score may indicate. We got Severino going in game 3 in N.Y. 2 out of 3 at home. With the pitching set up like this in games 2 and 3 we get Manea in game 6 on 5 days rest and Severino in game 7 on 4 days rest.
Quintana I assume pitches game 4 and are we going with Senga and Peterson in game 5 ?
The series is even and in reality that's the best we could realistically expect. Take a breath and get ready for game 3.

The way the Mets have treated bullpens this aspect of the series plays into our hands. I wonder how Yammamoto and Buhler will look. I could be wrong but I don’t think there has been a single starter we have faced that we really got to the starter. It’s been all BP.

Because we've obviously got to some starters in the regular season. But as you know, I've posted many times how I didn't think we would go far in post season because this lineup is horrible against even decent starters. Which is true, proven by the first LA game. But they are very good at getting to the BP and hurting it bad. It's kind of the reason they have been the "come from behind team." I'd love to see them jump on a starter. But I'll take the wins anyway we can get them. LGFM! |

It needs to improve rest of the way if they want to raise the NL pennant and the World Series trophy. |
