Well, you haven't said that. Giants need a big boy inside runner as the Giants have tried to run inside over and over again without success. Not helpful that OL can't block either. Brandon Jacobs was a terrible inside/short yardage back. Ahmad Bradshaw was a much better inside/short yardage back. And he was much smaller (I know these two names mean nothing to you since you didn’t become a fan for another decade) They need a modern NFL RB and an OL that can effectively run schemes. I have a better plan. Juice the RB up on Laxatives before the game. Place a porta-john in the back of the endzone. I am almost certain that is a guaranteed rushing TD. Just induce some motivation.

Giants still need a big, strong, inside runner who can catch the ball out of the backfield. Isnt that kind of what Singletary is, not really big and strong but isnt he an in-between the tackles guy who can catch passes out of the backfield? So we got a in-between the tackles guy in Singletary, a change of pace speed back in Miller, a complete back would be nice in the draft

I keep saying it, but Id REALLY like for us to get a vet CB in free agency. Some guys that are still out there are
-Adoree Jackson
-Xavien Howard
-Stephon Gilmore
-Steven Nelson
-Patrick Peterson
-J.C. Jackson
-Rock Ya-Sin
-Levi Wallace
-Ahkello Witherspoon
Id be happy with ANY of them, we really dont have a vet presence that our very young and inexperienced CB room could learn from

A bigger back has more of a chance of running up the middle and gaining two, three , or four yards than a smaller back. This has been a problem for the Giants as they have lacked a big back. Go back and read your own original take which you clearly don’t understand. I’m not hand holding you. And Barkley was 230lbs plus while Bradshaw was around 210lb and hit the hole harder. You can’t fake being a fball fan. Barkley wan't very impressive running inside. But hard to tell if that entirely his fault given the Giants offensive line. Did seem that Barkley rather then plowing forward instad turned his back more often than he should have.

Too many equate size to short yardage. Not always the case. To a 300lb DT, a 230lb back makes the same snot bubbles as a 210lb back. Size helps on the second level when you are up against off ball LB and DBs. Short yardage is more about vision and leverage than it is about size.

That's ok, a lot of fans are like that and all fans don't know as much as they think they know. But instead of showing attitude such as this to people who do know more than you, which is 90% of this message board, you should take the opportunity to learn. If you learn instead of acting petulant, in a short period of time you can be among the well informed posters here. Or you can choose whatever path you clearly have and learn nothing. Your choice.

He's new to the team, I don't see why anyone should have an issue with that. I say welcome aboard. His knowledge is lacking, which is also fine. We have a lot of knowledgeable posters here, we don't all agree and we all have more to learn. Some are just more willing to admit what they don't know than others. I think that is the bigger issue here than the lack of knowledge or his recent change to the Giants.

Posters would be far better off just providing their own opinions rather than engaging in put downs. But, this is NY.

I was one of few posters here who said Giants would go to the playoffs in 2022-2023 season. Most here predicted a losing season or break even at best. Would never say they did not know football.

Again, I am just trying to help you out. Making that prediction does not indicate anything about knowledge of the game. I'm not trying to insult you here, at all, just pointing out reality. Everyone here (I'm including myself) have a whole lot to still learn before they come anywhere near the level of "well informed." You just come across as believing you know what you are talking about and do not seem willing to listen when people point out where you are misunderstanding. You tend to argue instead. Granted, many do not point out disagreements or misunderstandings in the nicest ways, but the message is still there if you want to listen and learn. Hell, I am shit at being "nice". Like that post you replied to IS me being nice, because I really am just trying to help you out. Unlike others, I don't care if you are a new Giants fan. I am happy to welcome you into the fold....or really void in recent years, but whatever. I think a less combative and more inquisitive stance around here would do you well. There is much to learn around here if you don't get over-sensitive or defensive about the way the information is conveyed.

That Daboll is not a hot head? That the Giants play calling has been good? That Schoen should not have signed more O-lineman or traded for O lineman before last season? That Schoen has had terrific drafts? That Neal is good? That Schoen handled the Barkley situation well last season? That McKinney is gone? That Banks was worthy of being a first round pick?

So we got a in-between the tackles guy in Singletary, a change of pace speed back in Miller, a complete back would be nice in the draft IMO Miller will be used primarily as a KO returner because there'll be lots more runbacks as there's no fair catch rule in the 'catch zone' . Touchbacks in the endzone get put on the thirty yard line now. It's totally different so everbody better know the new rules.

I took a look to see who Brown actually was and I see headlines calling him a special team's "ace" and "standout". He had 7 ST tackles least season.
He was a decent player IMO, but I would never describe him using those words and after all, he did sign for the league minimum.
Not a shot at him, just speaking about the perfunctory manner in which sports people write.

Brown was an excellent special teams player. It isn't just in a way your average fan notices on game day. Coughlin who we kept was just as good if not better on specials as well. With the KO rule change, I don't know how it will impact either of them on the coverage units. I like the new kick-off rules and I don't anyone knows right now how it will impact the game, but I think the KO and Kick coverage units will have a significant impact on games. I am excited to see it. Kick-offs this year is one of the things I am most looking forward to watching in the 2024 season and I am not one that usually likes major changes to the game. This one is the most positive one I have seen in a long time, short of going back to the melee kick-offs used to be, but that will never happen. Everyone wants to talk about player safety and all that. I just don't care and I'm not going to pretend to care either like most people. If the players and the fans actually cared about the safety of the players, they would play and watch a different sport. It is a violent game and always has been a violent game. If you see that and are surprised that there are safety issues, then IDK what to tell you. So anyone who spouts off about how important player safety is to them, they are completely FOS. If they weren't FOS they wouldn't be watching football in the first place.

I assume we'll see the addition of smaller and quicker guys.
I haven't really thought about it because of what it became. But you're right it should add excitement to the game instead of treating it as if it's commercial time.
