I think this entire QB class is overrated. But that's me. Every QB class is overrated - 4 QB’s will likely go in the first 5 picks and odds are that 2-3 of them will be busts. I also think that Penix or Nix will be better than a couple of the guys who go in the first 5 picks. They very well could be.

You like him? He has some real flaws in his game he needs to clean-up. He is the best thrower of the football and creator by a country mile in this class he played on a bad 1 read offense where if the Read was covered it was on him to make it happen Caleb will be fine in the NFL. The only issue i have is we don't have a shot at getting him. he likes to hold onto the ball longer then he should. He overthrows the ball when pressured and can't follow thru. Great runner.

Schoen is playing a high states game. If he selects a terrific QB with first pick it's doubtful he'll be great immediately given the rest of the roster, thus setting the Giants further back for a few years. Far better decision would be to select a WR and select a QB in later rounds but that's a risky decision as well as that QB presently has a lower rating than other QBs. Also, moving on from after the Giants just gave Jones a ton of money makes FO look dumb. But hey it's the Giants. They sure know how to create unnecessary drama. Even better, draft a WR at 6 and not waste draft capital on a QB at all. Don't see how a mid-late round QB would add much to the team that already has 2 1st rounders in Daniel Jones and Drew Lock. The only possibility I see is Maye at 6 and perhaps Penix in the 2nd if either are available. I heard the NYG like Maye but I've heard him been called a project by some. Will Joe draft a project in a year where he may be on the hot seat? Maybe...but I doubt it. Lock was a second rounder

Lock was a second rounder Thanks, was going to correct myself after I looked it up... he was projected first and fell to pick #42. Even without drafting a QB...there is more $$$ and high draft pick capital invested into our QB position than most of our competitors. That's the main reason why I see Joe going WR...but I can see him selecting Maye from what I've heard between the rumors that Maye is "the guy" for the NYG and the scouts at a lot of UNC games. And the Giants have had a Southern charm type QB going for 20+ straight years now...the org probably likes that makeup. Then the Josh Allen factor, Maye is probably the most similar to Josh out of the prospect.

He holds onto the ball because when one read is covered he needs to improvise never saw a thing about accuracy accept it is above average on the move and from different platforms.

So.. we draft a receiver at six. And trot out Jones for the umpteenth year.. Are we trying to win games.. or prove a point? do you want the 4 or 5th best QB in the class then you are asking for maybe worse than what Jones can offer. If they draft one for their sake and the Giants they better be right the math says 2 out these guys are gonna be franchise QBs and we will have last licks not promising. Then the set back will be starting over again with a new front office and coach I want the QB and I think they do to but they can't get QB drunk here and draft one because he is there and a bunch of talking heads are pushing them up boards. No one is drafting a quarterback for the sake of drafting one.. There are no certainties in life.. And yet we continue to live without any fear. The draft is no different.. We need a player at the helm just as much if not more than anyone in the league. The wolves are howling as they circle the wounded. Schoen has been dancing with the devil the second he willingly paid Jones. It’s time to let someone else cut in before we can never leave.
