I'll be honest it was kind of a boring first round.
Some shockers but not as much trading as I was expecting. Chalk early. Nothing crazy outside of the amount of QBs early, and Penix.
I'm happy with Nabers.

So was DeSean and Jeremy Maclin. Dude can fly and he is gritty after the catch too so not a one trick pony.

So, Michael Penix to the Falcons will be the story tomorrow. absolutely wild. Still can't believe that happened. Smart though. Cousins is 35 or something coming of an Achilles tear on a 2 year contract. It's insurance. Especially if the next year draft class are weak at QB like some analysts are predicting.

The energy seems so low. Daboll looks sad. They wanted maye bad Now they role with Daniel Jones. The dude they made their bed with. In a way, im so tired of the narrative about how this was all a weapons problem. Well, let's see what Jones does, im sure we will still invest in OL, RB, and TE in this draft. We will be loaded Playoffs are the expectation. Curious to see these new age roster development concepts work, in reality. Lets put a great team around Daniel Jones and watch, and see.

They're just setting it up for the next HC/GM that can actually evaluate the right talent and have the balls to get him. Love Nabers. But without a QB, this team is hopeless and we all know it.

The energy seems so low. Daboll looks sad. They wanted maye bad after hearing Payton explain in detail why they wanted nix and breathed a sigh of relief when we didn't take him, I kind of wish we would have..but I can also see why they got a true #1 potential WR in nabors too.

I wonder what the odds are that one of McCarthy, Penix, or Bo Nix hit as a QB?

Can't imagine a better fit for Nix than with Payton If they miss. It won't be scheme fit

I think thats a good fit for both parties Payton's analytics team evaluated nix by taking out the dink and dunk throws and discovered he ranked high in most other categories too, including throwing from a dirty pocket

Better to waste a year or two of a QB with no weapons... because that's worked so well with the last one who's had a 5th round pick as his #1 WR since 2019 and would be the #1 for the rookie QB as well that was gettlemen.. there are solid WRs that are drafted in 2 and 3 every year. Why did the pats take Maye with no weapons? Bc they are going to build around him and QBs make everything easier... if you get the right one, Jones wasn't and isn't and gettlemen compounded the issue.. in fact WRs drafted in the 1st round have historically one of the highest bust rates I do agree that you have to get your QB right and then go from there while they're on a rookie deal. Unfortunately for us, we are overpaying for a scrub starter and we didn't finish in a favorable draft spot to have our choice. Nabers is the real deal. We just won't maximize on his skill set with these QBs. The Giants better hope that McCarthy, Penix, or Nix don't turn into studs because they will never hear the end of it, no matter how Nabers plays.
