One week in and I might've already found my QB crush for 2025. I plan on doing a "deep dive" into the QB prospects similar to last season, and will start a new thread in a couple/few weeks once there are more games to watch, but at a very, very quick glance I thought Cam Ward was impressive. I only watched a few minutes of the Miami vs. Florida game, and I only watched a few of the highlights below, but I'm intrigued. Top-notch arm, mobile, and can throw on the run. I expected him to be closer to 5'10"/200lbs the way he was moving, but he's apparently 6'2"/223lbs. Early candidate to skyrocket up the big boards a la Daniels and Burrow, in my opinion. As I mentioned in the draft thread when everyone was complaining there is no top shelf QBs in 2025s draft, there will be some that step up in 2024 and make their case.
Ward appears to be that guy right now.

Love his character plus he has talent. However don’t jump on the bandwagon just yet. He is like a poor mans Robert Griffin. He’s elusive but not in Lamar Jackson class.
He’s great at hitting open receivers but fitting the ball in small windows and tight spots I haven’t seen much of and I watched him at Washington State.
Jalen Milroe looked ehh last weekend vs weak competition.
Quinn Ewers hasn’t proven he can take heat and still hit his spots. Kind of a statue also.
Ir you watched Carson Beck vs Clemson Saturday you saw he does everything well, including running.

Ward was fantastic last weekend…although more dicey when at Wash St…we’ll have to see how this year pans out for him.

Lets wait until the season runs out before we crown him franchise savior. He holds on to the ball way too long, throws across his body and sometimes doesn't see the entire field. But he is a great prospect and we should give him a serious look
