Losing is never worth it, but I don't remember the season before we drafted Eli so I'll be ok. Herbert might go back to school but I think Daniel Jones is pretty good too. If DG likes either one I'll be on board. Jones is VERY Underrated mostly because he plays at Duke which we all know is not known for Football but yeah I can see him working his way up before the draft Yeah I agree. He is the most accurate deep ball passer in NCAA football this year. Every scouting report I have read also says he is a very good West Coast offense type QB. He is also pretty mobile. Seems like a nice combo. I would not be disappointed with him. At least we would be able to try some deep throws.

Changed slightly. Here's the updated one as of today: www.tankathon.com/nfl/full_draftI guess when you have same record you swap back an forth each round for top pick? I see SF picks right behind us at #2 in the 1st round. In 2nd round they pick at #1 (33 overall ) and Giants at #2 ( 34 overall )

Herbert reminds me of Blake Bortles. Big Gangly with a good arm who can run but not always accurate with his passes.
Sign me up for the 2020 draft for our future QB. Jake Fromm with the Bomb.

Heres an idea;
*Flame Shield Activated*
There are rumors that Flacco will be released by the Ravens at the end of the year. They have made their bed with L Jackson and rolling...Flacco is the odd man out so..
Pick up Flacco as an interim for a few years. Release Eli..Flacco right now is head and shoulders better than Eli at this point. The only problem is that salary that comes with him. If the Giants can renegotiated that for a lower amount with incentives it might make sense

The question is do we take Matt Stafford, Max Unger or Clay Matthews. I'm thinking Stafford will help the most but having a stud C or pass rusher would be really nice. Mike, if the season ended today after the 14th game we would pick between 6-10. there are 5 teams tied with 5-9 records. The Cards and Raiders are tied with the worst records 3-11. So what if we pick #11 ? Are there going to be any game changing players left that far into the draft ? I think we could still get a stud at some position at #6.
I'm not thinking of giving up a couple 1st rds for Stafford. IMO Mathews is not the player anymore that he once was. Don't know Unger.

IMO he probably goes to Jacksonville if they decide to throw all the chips in(then again they are stuck with Bortles dead money if they move from him and also they all of a sudden dont have the cap space they used go have for over a decade either,which is why I think they draft a qb again)

Oct 24th was a long time ago. I think we can still get a stud at #11. Only time will tell. This draft should be very interesting.

The more I read about Haskins from OSU, the more I like. I'm trying my hardest to hold off on my typical draft research, but I can't help but to read a bit here and there. He seems to be the real deal. Apparently he has very good awareness and makes his progressions after only 1 year of playing, which is somewhat of a concern in itself. He also has plenty of arm and enough speed to make things happen if the pocket collapses.
Early this season, I said I wasn't a big fan of the top QB's going into next years draft, because the names I kept hearing were Herbert, Lock and Grier. I didn't hear anyone mention Haskins. Things may very well change, but if we go QB I'm leaning his way.

With wins by Buffalo & Detroit today, the Giants move up to the 6th spot. If only Tampa Bay could've pulled an upset against Atlanta. The Bucs lost 34-32. www.tankathon.com/nfl/full_draft

Good point. Honestly, I'm still not sold on going for QB in 2019. If we do, Haskins is simply my favorite at this point. Due to how much talent there is coming out in 2019, I'm still liking the idea of bolstering the trenches this off-season and grabbing our next QB in 2020.

The top QB prospect will be there at 6 if no one trades up...Miami will try and trade up, they giving up on Tannehill, Denver is another team, if the Giants dead set on drafting a QB they will have to move up, if their plan is draft best available they will stay put..
