I'm happy for you guys. The Mets are balling. I hope that your squad makes it to the playoffs.

Been a few years sincew I've come here. Tonight's win was great. Ya' Gotta Believe. It's been fun for a change. With thios starting pitching staff they just need to get to the [playoffs to pull a miracle. Man Zim checked in? Now I know its getting real.

True.. Hell, Mets fans still think we have a shot at the postseason this year. Well... IF that rotation stays healthy and can do what they are capable of, Degrom, Syn, Stroman, Wheeler, Matz is a hell of a rotation. If you bats get hot, you may have a shot being only 4.5 games out. Lots of teams in front of them though. 2 months left. Lot of ball left. They have to figure out Diaz though. Just going to bump this guy. I had faith for your boys. Good to see them playing well.

That one can have a dual effect of being a kick in the nuts to the Nats that they can't recover from Just one game though

That one can have a dual effect of being a kick in the nuts to the Nats that they can't recover from Just one game though True it could have that effect. However i have been watching bb long enough to know that what happens from one day to the next could be the exact opposite of the day before. Or you score 14 runs on a team one day and get beat 7-0 the next. Lose a 16 inning heart breaker then bounce back the next day. But i hope your right and we crush them tonight

This run has been magical. 40-51 after a loss the first game after all star break. That was their 8th loss in a row. The 1st loss in that string was against cubs when Vargas & Callaway got into shouting match with repoter almost came to blows.
8games back for WC and 2nd worst in the NL. 14.5 behind Atlanta
Then they go and become buyers at the trade deadline after a few wins in a row and trade for Stroman to the surprise of the media. " WHAT ARE THE METS DOING?"
They hold onto Syndergaard, Wheeler and Fraizer. Get rid of Vargas
Now 20-5 since that loss first game after all star break with two 7 game winning streaks
Yet media who now have egg on their faces say oh its just against bad teams. Conveniently leaving out they swept the Twins 3-1 and 14-4 in a 2 game sweep of the 1st place club.
But yes most of the wins vs Pittsburgh, White sox, Miami, reds, and other bad teams. Teams that were beating them eariler in the year. Teams they have jumped over since. They have jumped 6 or 7 teams to make up 7.5 games in WC standings. And make up 6.5 on the Braves now only 8 behind them.
But still can the beat contenders. Last night it looked as though the media was going to be able to say " look, see we told you they couldnt beat good teams"
Until a most improbable comeback down 3 runs in 9th to win in walkofc fashion against their closer
Its just one game but everyday they are making believers out of more and more people
Yes they have 5 seeies vs 1st place clubs ( Atlanta twice, Cleveland, Cubs & LA ) this month as well as 2 series each vs Washington and Phily. Only one bad team in there KC
So when smoke clears after this month if they are still contenders and are afloat the talk wint be if they will make the play3it will be of they can win the WS!!!
LGFM!!!

But it's a great tone setter for this team to have a win like this at the very beginning of this major stretch against really good teams and sends a message

They still pissed me off with their embarrassing cheap ass miser ways yesterday. Hechavarria had been solid for us and they DFA’d him the day before he was due a 1 million dollar roster bonus. We love this ride, but I still despise the Wilpons. I don’t want to rain on the parade, but you know I gotta keep it real.

Yet they are surly not worthy of a NY team.

Back to back homers again tonight to even it up. What a roll they are on.
Everyone knows about the Tampons. But you have to love it for the fans and team. Plus the guy they kept hit his first ml homer to tie it in the 8th.

A 15 out of 16 run in MLB is serious momentum, especially the last 2 against this Nats lineup. With DeGrom on the mound tomorrow and a horrible Nat's BP, this could be a rout.
LGFM!

If they get into the divisional round of the playoffs they have as good of if not better chance The yanks to get to the World Series because of the starting rotation they can run out there.

I understand the Mets are going to lose games, but today upset me. That is because at the heart of the loss is 2 things that have plagued them all year. Substandard defense and Edwin Diaz. Very frustrating.

Very frustrating. Diaz needs to get it together. Or he is going to become we don't want you in a big spot pitcher.

I don’t want him anywhere near the mound unless it’s 100 percent mop up duty. He is becoming the worst acquisition we have made, and with the Mets that’s saying something.

Win every series (OK maybe not Cleveland because they are not NL)through the end of the month and all of a sudden division title isn't out of the question
