Re: Smith injury 33 years to the day of the Theisman injury Wow Not exactly sure how it's obviously a compound fracture but gruesome nonetheless.

Not exactly sure how it's obviously a compound fracture but gruesome nonetheless. I guess it could ahve been a dislocated ankle, but they said he snapped both fibula and tibia. foot was just dangling.

But "compound fracture" means the broken bone breaks through the skin.

Could you imagine if Jackson caught that and burned us again?...lol My exact nightmarish thought... instead, I has a sense of... poetic justice... Yup

Typical Giants. Can never break the neck of their opponent when up multiple scores, always lets them back in the game to the point where a laugher turns into a last second nail biter. Nothing to really be proud about in this win over a bad TB team. Almost let the backup QB beat us again. Giants need to either put the FT on Collins or let him walk. No way I pay that guy top $$. Not worth it. Or switch him to LBer. Team finally put ups monster pts & barely wins. Amazing! Had the O scored just 14, then the D woulda allowed just 17. Need to lose the rest of the way & stay in that top 4 pick zone. Going 6-10 or 7-9 does us no good in the draft. you realize the FT is top $$? What was KC record before they drafted Mahommes? What were the Texans record before they drafted Watson? You dont ever tank a season....it does more harm than good. Also, it is foolish to change one fact of the past and expect everything else to remain the same. Stop with the hindsight stuff.

The Giants actually have a win streak. I may faint. True, it's a win streak against 2 bad teams, but I'll take the wins. It'll be interesting to see how they play against teams with better records going forward this season.

One of the 3... the D will play good and offense suck, offense will play good and D will suck, or both will suck...

I mean they had to pull a comeback against the Niners and almost let the Bucs pull a comeback.

The FT is a one year deal of the average top 5 salaries at that respective position. I like that option as it only binds us for one year with Collins.

There's no difference between playing a bad team or good team. So I've been told.

The crazy thing is for what it's worth, with a couple stupid bounces going the other way this team is 5-5, easily.
It just shows the parity, especially in the NFC East. How much is really separating these teams...the whole division is a 9-7 team combined....
Lol, the division is still up for grabs for anyone. It's very improbable, but certainly possible.

I agree with the benefit of hindsight and "shoulda, coulda, woulda" we can always look back and say any team's record could be better (or worse). I'm just curious about the Giants this season.

At bare minimum a 63 yard FG keeps them from being 4-6. There have been several plays in several games that have been missed, and if you expect me to rehash all of them I won't. I'm not saying this team is winning a super bowl, but in the NFL the difference between 3-7 and 6-4 is maybe what?.... 2-3 keys plays in a game?

I saw the "5 day shadow" sported by Eli last week--they won. I'm thinking he's superstitious because today he comes out with a beard for the first time in his career. PLEASE DON"T SHAVE ELI, LOL.

Yeah, hard to see with the socks and pant leg, but something was where it shouldnt have been for sure. Had heard he had broken tibula and fibula, then turning channels I see him for a brief second... on the back of the golf cart... sitting up and either waving or giving to the fans... I doubt they medicated him?... no doubt a compound fracture... he needs surgery right away... Alex Smith is one tough dude...

Lucky they started fitz today, he sure does rot. We got out scored after Winston replaced him. He's so clearly the better QB.
