Let's face it. This is national news and the biggest story surrounding the Giants.
It's also good to know it's over. I'd be very surprised if the NFL is going to get involved in this.

I agree. I don’t think the nfl wants to open this can of worms.

I can hardly wait to check out "PatsFans" forum. I'll bet they're going to demand the league to take action.

I actually didn't realize how hated the Giants, Mara and Eli are by fans around the league. I thought we were one of those franchises to be admired, but that is clearly not the case. Fans believe Mara has Goodwell in his back pocket.

But would the league really want to get involved in matters like this? Well they spent $4MM on deflated footballs and took Elliott all they way up to the circuit court of appeals so.............Yes I think so.

YA insinuated this was a league wide issue.
The league might be best off cleaning up their act, instead of possibly opening a can of worms.

I wouldn't be surprised if Eli does wind up getting suspended Well I at least think he may be interviewed by the league. The Giants may feel the same. This could explain their (Giants) sudden interest in multiple QBs.

Why would they need to drag other owners in? this should be between Eli and his attorneys and the other party. Eli wrote the check to make this go away, as it should go away.obviously there is nothing there , if a check satisfies all involved?? move on !!

We all know that the Manning family is just a giant criminal mob organization that's been running a league wide Chinese memorabilia scam for decades. The reason why Eli didn't want to go to San Diego wasn't because the organization there sucked, it was because Spanos was a direct threat to the Manning Mafia.

I wouldn’t worry about Eli. This is how the sports memorabilia world works. The NFL has been implicit in this practice for years. I imagine they will set new rules and maybe police it closely but they will let this one die quietly so as not to have it blow back on them.

A lot of it come from a few years back when John Mara led the charge to penalize washington and dallas for violations during the uncapped year, think they both were fined 50 mill against the cap the following year, and then the Brown issue where the league was very lenient with him after scorching other players for the same type behavior.

Don't know if the league can get involved think part of the final agreement was that there was no wrong doing on Eli or the Giants part, money solves a lot of problems.

Yea I read an article on this practice they're asked to produce more game worn stuff then there actually is,they actually sell the jersey's and helmets they worm up in on game day as game worn, don't know how true it is but that was in print somewhere read it a while ago when all of this first started.

YA insinuated this was a league wide issue. The league might be best off cleaning up their act, instead of possibly opening a can of worms. If the league were smart, they would announce a new system for this kind of thing. THEY will administer the collection. They will certify it are genuine. And of course, they take a cut for this largesse. If they were really greedy, they would eliminate the middle men and sell the memorabilia themselves.

I think the league absolutely should look into it, but I have to think they are smart enough to not start turning over rocks without knowing exactly what is under them.

It will open and expose the other 31 teams to the same . The rabbit hole would get bigger. I would think including Jones , I would imagine Dallas's hands are dirty as well. They want this to go away, and it will in a few days. The NFL can not afford to have anymore black marks for the media to run with.
