Many fans booed with Porter Jr still available. Another cursed franchise I root for

I hope he can handle hard knox because with the knicks that will be the case.

I think it's a good pick. That team is years away and that kid is 18.
I don't think it's bad move.

Good move, Porter's back surgery is a huge red flag, there's a reason a previously thought #1 slides all the way to 14. This is another max upside kid. Porzingis worked out so far, I like what I see from Nkitilina as well. Also a raw 7 footer in the 2nd round has potential to be a rotation guy. Knox played at a great program for a year and is 18. He also plays an absolute position of need. Good pick IMO. Anyone stuck on Porter has "shiny object syndrome" IMO. He might be great, but his risk for medical flop is far too high to waste a high pick when he's had major back surgery at his age.

Can't say that I know a lot about this kid, but I am not crazy about the scouting reports describing him as "not physical" and "complacent at times".
Seems like code language for soft ....

First they destroy baseball and what used to be my Yankees, and now Dolan is hell bent on making It equally painful to continue watching my Knicks!

Granted it was summer league and we need to keep that in mind, but Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson were very impressive. Both players have tremendous upside if they are well coached and commit to getting better. Both players have the size, athleticism and skill sets to be key pieces for this team going forwards. Knox can be special if he puts it all together, and Robinson has the upside to be a DeAndre Jordan type player and if he develops an outside shot then the skies the limit for the kid. For me we have a talented high upside front court with Knox, KP and Robinson if they all stay healthy and reach their potential.
Obviously the back court needs work but that can be address at a future date, and if there is anything in the Irving and Butler to New York rumors, if they did both join us in 2019 that could be a pretty impressive starting five and that's without considering who we might draft in 2019.
So I would say that the Knicks do look to be on the right track under the new head coach and front office. They have had a potentially strong first draft and fingers crossed we see progress from our young players this season, land another top pick, and be aggressive in free agency next year. This team can turn around pretty quick if everything goes our way.
