It's now an increasing likely that Carson Wentz won't be back until 2019. Apparently they did a bunch of CT scans throughout the season but "none revealed a fracture until now". I wonder if the NFL and NFLPA will be doing an investigation.

I believe Wentz has been playing hurt all year. Clearly he has not been himself. I’m sure he didn’t want to miss two seasons in a row. Given how poorly Wentz has been playing, Foles might be an upgrade but their defensive backfield is a mess and they have been unable to generate a reliable run game. I expect, despite a slight offensive improvement with Foles, they lose in LA and are toast.

if the Eagles choose to part ways with Wentz would some of you be in favor of the Giants trying to get him??

Its hilarious because on the old boards around the time Wentz went down, the same thread was being posted...
The Eagles didnt look that good last year either until they did. Kinda like the Giants magical runs in 2008 and 2012.
Anything can happen. Right now they are a game better than us, actually 2 games better since they swept us already, yet some here think WE still have a shot... lol

I wouldn't say its over. Carson wentz has litterally looked like a shell of himself when compared to pre acl injury last season. Foles proved however inconsistent he may be, that when things are clicking for him and they dial the offense to his strengths he can play damn good football in big games. Its unlikely they perform well, but its not a given.

if the Eagles choose to part ways with Wentz would some of you be in favor of the Giants trying to get him?? His injuries scare me, and since his ability to scramble and make plays with his legs hasn't been there as much this season his effectiveness hasn't been the same. I guess in a hypotehtical situation if the price were right, why not? I would not bank it all in on the guy though. To many question marks at this point with him.

LOL so check this out.. 1) fact that they are in a losing season, not going anywhere. 2) he has a back fracture 3) eagles are still unsure that they want to put him on season ending IR Actually proves them right.

They are not going anywhere once they saw he has aa fracture they should put him on IR. If they put him on the field Wentz should sue them.

if the Eagles choose to part ways with Wentz would some of you be in favor of the Giants trying to get him?? Depends on the severity of the fracture in the vertebrae.

i was told teams didnt do this "rest starters" once its clear they arent going anywhere. Whomever told you that was right. But I'm sure they'd give (or may have given) you the option of proving them wrong. Have at it.

i was told teams didnt do this "rest starters" once its clear they arent going anywhere. How is having a fracture in a vertebrae the same thing as "resting a starter"? lol Also, I've never heard of a team with a losing record not playing a starter. Subbing people in in garbage time, sure...but that's about it.

Are they going to get healthy or are they out for the season? Also, notice our OL went from one of the worst ever earlier this year to a very formidable bunch right now? It can happen through out a season. Do I think they will repeat? Hell no. I also didnt think they would win it all last year even if their OL was better. Can they repeat this year? As of right now, yes. But I already made a thread about the Cowboys winning it all so I cant say definitely lol.

Once the Rams crush em this Sunday, they'll be 6-8, & the Texans will finish em off the following week. So Skins & Philly will soon be a non factor in the race for the final WC seed. If Giants beat Tenn this Sunday, they'll be 6-8 & just have to be dealing with Vikes, GB & Carolina. Panthers play NO 2 of the next 3 weeks, Hopefully NO sweeps them & they are done. Bears beat GB this week & it's over for them as they'll be 5-8-1.
So If Carolina/GB lose this weekend, that's 1 more team (GB) eliminated with 1 more on the brink.
Right now, the Giants can control their fate by winning out these next 3 weeks. If Bears have locked up the #3 seed. Dallas with the #4 seed, may rest their starters in our season finale. I think that's the best scenario for us to win out if we are 7-8 going into the Dallas game. Of course, if the Giants were to finish with the final WC seed, we'd be playing Dallas the very next week in the WC game.

My bad, coulda sworn I heard someone say If Giants were to miraculously make the playoffs, they'd play Dallas. And I can see Vikes losing to Miami who's in the hunt for a WC & Chi in the season finale as Chi is trying to stay ahead of Dallas for the #3 seed. If Miami can get by Vikes this week, they will beat Jags & Bills in weeks 15-16 & get in with 10-6 record as the #6 seed.

Redskins and Eagles both in the NFC East losing their starting QBs... just goes to show you how a season can change quickly... imagine if the Giants had won 1 or 2 of those close games... giving them a better chance at the Wild Card game... then this season would have to be considered an amazing turnaround by the Giants from a year ago... just seems crazy to me...
