I prefer winning. I dont need to worry about my plans for 2019. I dont think they will be good, again, for the 7th year in 8 seasons. The time I would have made the big leap has passed. Now we play the waiting game until 2020. With the exception of Baker Mayfield, of the rookie QB that came out in 2018, which one would have played at Eli level or better if they were drafted by NY Giants? I say this all the time, drafting a QB in the 2018 draft would never have been about 2018. There were too many holes. I was all about Baker and shocked and saddened he went #1 overall. What I personally would have done after that was traded back for more picks to fill more holes. Then drafted Rosen or Darnold if still there or went OL or DL (Nelson or Chubb) and had a ton of more additional picks in 2018 and maybe an additional 1st rounder plus in 2019. As for your question, its hard to tell. Darnold, Rosen and Allen would have weapons here and a different offense to work with here so who knows how they would perform. In fact, they would be behind Eli anyway until week 15 when Lauletta got a shot so it really doesn't matter. Just like if they draft a QB next year, it wont be about them in 2019 as they will most likely backup Eli anyway. Its about the future. We got Barkley and he is a hell of a RB, but we still need to find a QB IMO which is a lot harder task.
