Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians reiterated his interest in the Cleveland Browns coaching position on Sunday, after originally expressing an affinity for that job a few weeks ago. Arians, 66, is in his first season as a game analyst on CBS after a long and distinguished coaching career at the college and pro level. "I've always wanted that job," Arians said, "and I got passed over for it a couple of times, and it would be the only job I would listen to and come out of retirement for. I really enjoy what I'm doing, but there has always been something about Cleveland and the fans, and when I called the games this year that really came back for me." www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/bruce-arians-says-hed-only-return-to-coaching-for-one-team-and-its-a-surprising-one/

Good for him.
I thought he was retired and happy to be.

What happened to it's time? His wife told him that their son turns 40 this year and it hit him like a ton of bricks. He missed a lot of family things while coaching. A year off and he's coming back?

Maybe he saw the arrow trending down in Arizona and used that as an excuse to bail? I don't think he'd be that type of person but I don't know BA personally.

He actually said that working in TV was almost as intrusive work as coaching, with all the travel, etc, so if he's going to work hard, he may as well do what he really loves.
