What happened to Mike McCarthy? Weird that there didn't seem to be a lot of interest in McCarthy on the market

What happened to Mike McCarthy? Weird that there didn't seem to be a lot of interest in McCarthy on the market IMO: I think GMs are afraid that he may gain more influence with the owner than they have.

What happened to Mike McCarthy? He is seen as having an outdated O (which I do agree with)and the fact that Rogers (a great QB) had issues with his system has pretty much tarnished him for this year at least I think a lot of teams are making mistakes. It’s all about catering to the QB. Rest of the team be damned. Since they can’t force an OC on HC candidates the league is now making the OCs HCs...but it’s in title only. These guys are not leading their full team . It’s a committee approach. Look what happened to us. The Giants rushed to hire the OC that improved the QBs stats. But it turns out he couldn’t lead men. I find it funny how teams are rushing to hire the young guns yet Doug Pederson (considered the worst hiring at the time he was hired) actually won a championship yet nobody is seeking to emulate. Some teams may learn the hard way i guess. Like we did

Like we did Exactly The McCarthy style of WCO(which we also ran)was pretty much ancient 10 years ago when teams started going back twards option routes and the Perkins/Edheart style) Then actually Chip Kelley and Shurmer revived the WCO by adding elemnts from the college game, fast break, air raid concepts RPO so now we are seeing the revival of the WCO with the Chip Kelly influences spreading around the league..

not a terrible hire at all. I wish him luck with the Jets I hear that unless either the Jets or Giants start putting up winning seasons, the networks will continue to have the same start times for both games. I like to see the local team's games, so good luck Jets!

The Browns tried to force him on any potential HC and they said no. So they decided to hire Freddie as the HC because they like what he did won the QB. Is Kitchens actually HC material? I have no idea. But the hiring reason is flawed. The Giants hired MacAdoo for the QB and it blew up on them

not a terrible hire at all. I wish him luck with the Jets I think he's going to be better than expected. I also think he'll be great for Darnold. I thought I had heard that he had some issues with players in Miami, I don't recall the details.
