The Odellites still can’t face reality which was to be expected by their delusional insistence that the Giants would not trade this under achieving, overpaid, injury ridden head case. Odell had some good years with the Giants, then in2016 his behavior and on field production started detererioating. It’s a blessing the Giants were to get so much from the Brown’s. In one or two years the Browns will realize what a huge mistake they made taking on the fragile diva. I've seen many ridiculous things said about OBJ...but underachiever is probably the most ridiculous. Guy got off to the fastest start in every major statistical category for a WR ever. There's just no reality where he's an underachiever

That said, he was not an underachiever, and not overpaid. The punk could ball. He put up ridiculous numbers which would have been much better if not for having Eli as the QB. He is going to be a superstar stat wise with Baker Mayfield, another hated player by a lot here who called out his character. We are going to have a very hard time replacing Odell on the field. In fact, we wont. We just have to hope getting rid of the cancer helps and DG uses the saved money to build other areas into strengths to make the team better down the road. Im glad the diva headcase is gone, Im said the play maker is gone.

We have more of these genius contracts coming from Gettleman. We will be winning again in no time.

Odell will try to “Antonio Brown” his way to the left coast.

I defended him strongly until today but he has completely butchered this draft. He is a lier and a con-man and should be fired. All we heard was value, value, value edge rush, edge rush, we need edge rushers. Well...we selected the 5th best qb in the draft class, a nose tackle with no pass rushing abilities and commited 3 picks to a corner, when there are plenty in day 2, now we have to wait to pick 95. Still no edge rush, and passed on Allen with pro-bowl potential to take a backup qb at 6. Lawrence is a decent player but when the need was passrush, its redundant. Mark my words this will go down as one of the darkest days in Giants history certainly because of Jones. This franchise is completely lost, it has absoloutely no idea what it is doing at this point.

Dave Gettleman decided he wanted to draft a backup quarterback for Eli with the 6th pick, so he can draft Eli's real replacement next season with the the Giants top 5 pick. LOL. The thread title will sound a lot sweeter when the Giants are suffering another losing season for the umteen time. A backup qb at 6th over a high rank defensive player or a higher ranked QB. I really hope Gettleman fail as Giants GM. The one thing I know is Haskins will enjoy playing against the Giants, specifically, the Giants new backup QB.

In order to be "full of shit" I would have to be stating something that I don't believe. I believe he will be a great QB and I have been in his camp for months

Did you see this lunatic's press conference tonight? He said he had the same grade for Allen and Jones...what?!!, and that his mind was made up a long while ago because he saw three snaps at the senior bowl that he fell in love with. This whole thing about value was complete bs. Gettleman has us down a bigger deeper abyss than we were even under Reese, and thats saying something. I campaigned for Reese to be fired for years, but this is just astonishing malpractice and we are set back for years now. What was the next crazy thing he said...oh he told Eli its his job to lose and maybe this could be a Green Bay model for 3 years....3 years?!!!!!So we wasted a premium pick for what, a backup!! I guarentee Haskins will torch the Giants for passing on him. I'm completely lost and broken.

i'd like to humbly admit...I was completely wrong in believing in Gettleman. I have to admit now, he is out of his mind and he has completely conned the fans. This franchise is flopping from side to side to 'complete rebuild 'to 'give it another year' from one day, heck one hour to the next. We are being told from one side of his mouth they need playmakers on D and pass rush, and he won't reach...but infact drafts the biggest reach and a QB with the worst stats and arm from any of the two drafts at 6 overall, while letting Allen probably the best passrusher in the entire draft class go to Tom Coughlin's jags and then uses 4 picks to draft a runstuffer and a corner with no pass rush in sight. He is effectively saying Jones is the 6th best college player in the entire country!! He's not even the 6th best player in that conference he was in! He's out of his mind.

I agree .. what gettleman has done to this team is criminal and yes , he is a total lair . If he truly has jones and josh Allen rated the same he's a total idiot . He's traded away talented players for nothing and had zero plan to replace them . We have holes everywhere on defense and this idiot takes a backup QB when we already have a QB. To keep Eli and take a QB with the first pick makes zero sense when u have the sheer lack of talent this team does . This organization sucks and we deserve to be laughed at after this . I honestly didn't think it was possible but after tonight my disdain for gettleman has actually made me like Jerry reese . I'm sick of the lies . Gettleman has taken a bad team and set them back at least 5 more years . I can't stand him.. organization of complete bafoons .

We could of got Baker without trading picks. Not one of our picks I believe were worth a first rounder. I have seen some shit drafts but this may be the worst I have ever seen. Every pick was a reach. I think Gettleman is the worst GM in the NFL its not close. A total shit shw of wasted resources

I think the 2 defenders are solid players, Lawrence is just awful value at a position that was filled already. Jones has the worst tape I have ever seen for a QB picked that high.

Haven't seen much of it in college but alas, being drafted 17th overall makes you a complete DT, some how We did pass over a couple of complete DTs. Shame
