Nice to see this thread going
In 1979 before the Giants hired George Young and while Tim and Wellington couldn’t agree on what color the sky was... who turned down the GM job?
He turned it down for the very reason mentioned above

Since Eli Manning has retired it’s fitting we have a Eli Manning question. Eli’s rookie year who caught his 1st touch down pass of his career?

Shockey could have been something special here. I’ll never forget that game against Houston his rookie year I believe when he was running over defenders on the sidelines.

That’s it. Shockey could have been something special here. I’ll never forget that game against Houston his rookie year I believe when he was running over defenders on the sidelines. I remember a guy grabbing his fact mask and Shockey just shook him off. Thrilling moment for me. There are four players who I was really excited about right out of the blocks. Taylor Shockey OBJ Barkley Two turned out to be duds compared with what they could have been (all could have challenged the GOAT at their position). Barkley is incomplete. That feels like a weak record on would be studs.

What former Giant DL played college football and basketball at Michigan Technological University?
Hints: This goes back a few decades. He also played for the Vikings and Seahawks.

Bob Lurtsema Correct, I saw him as a kid at the old JayC Classic pre-season game in Princeton against the Eagles. He was the largest man I had ever seen up to that point in my life. I would bet that big Bob was the first and only NFL player to come out of Michigan Technological University. I also didn't realize that the Seahawks go that far back being founded in 1974. Well done Red!!

I have an unfair advantage. I will reply with a riddle. The Price is right. Follow up question. Who was the only Giant to do it twice?

At 348 yards this guy led the Giants in Rushing in 1999, who is he ? Tiki didn't have a good year until 2000. We had Charles Way, Gary Brown and Joe Montgomery too. That was a forgettable season... we had a losing season with Fassel and Kerry Collins and Kent graham. I;ll go with Joe Montgomery.
