I'm on it Phil the first horse you mentioned Code of Honor is my key horse I have him to win, exactas, triples, I also had the horse that was scratched Omaha Beach.
Baffert has the 3 favorites this would be his 6th Derby I believe. The "Godfather " of horse racing. The 3rd straight year of rain. Look for mudders , last year Justify on his way to the triple crown just passed everyone in the mud . Good luck

A 65 to 1 shot ? I told you the 13 Code of Honor was my key horse and I had Maximum Security sprinkled in my exactas and triples, but Country House ? I was all over and around collecting money on triples and exactas front ways, backwards, upside down, and inside out. But not the right way, the story of my life.
First time in history the Derby winner was pulled down. I'll tell you what I think I'm betting every penny I can get to bet with on Maximum Security in the Preakness. And watch my 2 horse Code of Honor and if Omaha Beach is ready I think I'm boxing that triple and going wild on all sorts of Exactas.
P.S. I didn't have a penny on Code of Honor to place, that would have been smart. See ya back on the thread in 2 weeks.

Was that normal? I'm not a big horse player but I am a little interested. That decision looked like a robbery to me.
Also, the DQ moved my horse (drawn from a hat) into 2 so I won some money in the Bar Pool, which I of course promptly gave right back in drinks.

Also, the DQ moved my horse (drawn from a hat) into 2 so I won some money in the Bar Pool, which I of course promptly gave right back in drinks. That normal sparks off a whole debate. It's that grey area like a pick play in football. Or God forbid pass interference heck nobody knows what that is anymore.
If you go by the letter of the law in horse racing yes he did impede the forward progress of at least 2 other horses. And the jockey did let him swing wide into the paths of the horses chasing him...… But..... it was mud and horses do slide when they run in the mud. The jockey weighs 108 lbs. the horse is 1200 lbs. 4 horses actually bumped on the turn and nothing was said about that.
That grey area deciding on the opinion of the stewards (judges) is always a problem waiting to happen.
And good for you for finishing 2nd and I love that you gave it right back to the bar. It sounds just like what I would do, it's me definitely. That #13 horse was the horse that I had everything hooked up to, his name was Code of Honor. Keep an eye on him in the next 2 legs of the triple crown. He could be in the money in all 3 races.

Thanks Rich. I had a feeling it was like that. But I didn't know enough about the sport to know for sure. I have only a casual interest ion racing. A good friend of mine loved to go to the track and I grew up in Yonkers so we went there a fair amount. He taught me how to play boxes and exactas. I usually alway bet the three but I didn't get to an OTB yesterday so I was happy to join in the Bar's pool. Found money, it seemed right to just give it back over time.
